Biography Lynne first went to Guatemala in 1989 as an AIMer under the supervision of Brother Wynn Drost. In 1992, she followed the Drost family to Mexico where she worked in the national office, Bible school and children’s ministries for seven years. She eventually returned to her “first love”, Guatemala, still as an AIMer. She became a fully appointed intermediate missionary in 1996 and has been working in Bible schools and children’s ministries ever since. In 2002, she was appointed as the Children’s Ministries Coordinator for the Central American & Caribbean Region and has traveled to many of the countries in the region promoting Children’s Ministries, teaching seminars and holding children’s crusades. Her goal is to establish Sunday schools in all of the churches throughout the region. In 2003, she received her career missionary appointment after serving on the field for fourteen years. Most of those years, she has had the privilege to work side by side with missionaries Brad and Regina Thompson, who she feels are great missionaries and true friends. Since 1999, Lynne has been the administrator of the Bible school in Guatemala. With over 500 students each year and twenty-three schools in operation throughout the country, this is a full time job indeed.

This past term, she began a new adventure with the establishment of an orphanage. When returning to the field, she will be heading up H.O.M.E. International, a safe haven for the abandoned street children of Guatemala. When the project is completed, there will be thirteen buildings housing a total of one hundred children. She is very excited to see this dream come true.
