This is a bittersweet time as we let our 5th graders go, but anticipate the summer months ahead. I would like to encourage all of you to develop a plan with your children that will extend their learning into June, July and August. Take time to investigate community offerings and activities that cater to development of their skills and knowledge. It is so important to encourage our students in ways that develop them into life long learners. Summer should be fun, but don’t ignore the teachable moments and possibilities to extend learning during this time. With that said, I hope you will have a rewarding last few days of school and a safe summer. All of us at Jewett want to thank you for your support this year!
