(Valencia, Castellón, Altea, Barcelona, Ronda, Scheveningen, Vienna, Hong Kong, Beijing ...)

SUMMER TOUR 2006NORTH AND SOUTH AMERICA

WINTER TOUR 2006/2007EUROPE, AFRICA

SUMMER TOUR 2007

FAR EAST AND SOUTH EAST ASIA, AUSTRALIA

WINTER TOUR 2007/2008EUROPE, MEDITERRANEAN COUNTRIES

1.- REQUISITES AND REGULATIONS

Generals Auditions will be called on a yearly basis aiming at a gradual

introduction of a system which will combine in the right proportion different ways of access to the orchestra, either through filmed material or live auditions. Our main goal—and a high priority for the JMWO—is to reach as many young musicians as possible, regardless of their country of residence, and secure in that way the world scope of the orchestra.

Independently of the chosen option, the same application form must be filled in by all applicants and sent according to regulations given

here, together with the relevant CV-information: this is a necessary condition for the participation in the selection process. For a model application form, see below Annex I.

Application deadline: December, 1st. A copy of the application form (Annex I) must be sent both to the

national sections of Jeunesses Musicales of the country of each candidate (see Annex II which contains a list of them or online through the link to JMI page) and to the Central JMWO Audition department in Spain, either sending it preferably online, or posted to the address that appears in the application form.

Spanish young musicians will only be able to participate in the selection process through live auditions to be carried out in Valencia (Option B).

Age Young musicians aged between 18 (before July 1st 2005) and younger

than 28 (by December 31st, year 2005). Young musicians selected to join the JMWO will commit themselves to

participate in two orchestra sessions: summer (2005) and winter (2005-2006).

They may be invited to remain with the JMWO in successive years up to a maximum of three, if their work with the orchestra has been satisfactory.

Young musicians, already members of the orchestra, chosen as soloists, could be invited to participate in other activities of the JMWO. These activities will take place within the framework of a third work period, with professional standards. The members chosen to participate in these activities will be entitled to special grants.

All young musicians who become members of the JMWO could apply again in the future for a second stay with the orchestra as long as they fulfil all the requisites hereby described.

Passport-Nationality Musicians from all nationalities are welcome to join the orchestra as long as candidates stick to the conditions hereby described. They must be able to apply for any visas required, should they need it. The National sections of Jeunesses Musicales will provide help in the visa procedures. Furthermore, the organisation of Jeunesses Musicales World Orchestra will issue formal invitation letters.

ExperienceAll candidates must present their CV, outlining their level of expertise, studies, teachers and professional background and experience.
