To some Jesus was not seen as the person he was, a rabbi. The Pharisees and
many people thought Jesus was the leader of a cult.
A change in JesusWhen Jesus had heard that
Herod had killed his cousin, John the Baptist, he went into Galilee and started teaching about the Kingdom of Heaven.
Jesus started teaching in the synagogues and attracting the Pharisees
DIFFERENT TYPES OF TEACHINGS Jesus used parables and
pronouncements to get his point across. In the teachings of Jesus talks to the
people with authority and does not baby the people.
Jesus speaks with urgency and uses parables and stories that the people can understand.
Like Moses Jesus faced great oppositions from the leaders of his people.
Jesus received opposition from the Pharisees, Scribes, and chief priests.
These people questioned Jesus on his teachings and his actions.
Opposition from the leaders
Jesus answers back to the leaders Jesus would answer the Pharisees
by exposing the leader’s traps. He would sometimes respond to
the leader’s questions by asking questions or make pronouncements.
Jesus would never use violence to answer the chief priests, Pharisees or Scribes.
