JESUS LOVES:
JESUS LOVES YOU!
John 13:34–35
A new command I give you: Love one another. As I have loved you, so you must love one another.
By this everyone will know that you are my disciples, if you love one another.
1 John 4:7–9
Dear friends, let us love one another, for love comes from God. Everyone who loves has been born of God and knows God. Whoever does not love does not know God, because God is love. This is how God showed his love among us: He sent his one and only Son into the world that we might live through him.
1 John 4:10–12
This is love: not that we loved God, but that he loved us and sent his Son as an atoning sacrifice for our sins. Dear friends, since God so loved us, we also ought to love one another. No one has ever seen God; but if we love one another, God lives in us and his love is made complete in us.
The Plan:
• Look at our relationships.
•Discover the limits of our love.
• Encounter God’s love for those that we cannot love.
•Realize that “we” are “them”.
• Experience God’s love for us.
•Return to our relationships to love others in the way that we have been loved.
• Experience Jesus’ love completed in us.
HOW DO YOU TREAT
THE PEOPLE WHO ARE
CLOSEST TO YOU?
OFTENTIMES, FAMILIARITY DECREASES GRACE.
IT IS HARD TO LOVE PEOPLE
WHO ARE DIFFERENT THAN
YOU.
John 11:20–24
When Martha heard that Jesus was coming, she went out to meet him, but Mary stayed at home. “Lord,” Martha said to Jesus, “if you had been here, my brother would not have died. But I know that even now God will give you whatever you ask.”
Jesus said to her, “Your brother will rise again.” Martha answered, “I know he will rise again in the resurrection at the last day.”
John 11:25–27
Jesus said to her, “I am the resurrection and the life. The one who believes in me will live, even though they die; and whoever lives by believing in me will never die. Do you believe this?”
“Yes, Lord,” she replied, “I believe that you are the Messiah, the Son of God, who is to come into the world.”
John 11:32–33
When Mary reached the place where Jesus was and saw him, she fell at his feet and said, “Lord, if you had been here, my brother would not have died.”
When Jesus saw her weeping, and the Jews who had come along with her also weeping, he was deeply moved in spirit and troubled.
John 11:34–37
“Where have you laid him?” he asked. “Come and see, Lord,” they replied.
Jesus wept.
Then the Jews said, “See how he loved him!” But some of them said, “Could not he who opened the eyes of the blind man have kept this man from dying?”

But God demonstrates his own love for us in this:
While we were still sinners, Christ died for us.
