Built in 1986 and hosting its first Grand Prix one year later, the circuit of Jerez is now one of the most popular MotoGP venues and the focal point for a city fanatical about sport. Set in a slight valley in the south of Spain, Jerez is blessed with consistently good weather and beautiful scenery, its numerous grandstands providing the perfect viewing facilities for up to 250,000 spectators. Other facilities such as the control tower and pit boxes have also been vastly improved. Le circuit de Jerez a été construit en 1986 et a accueilli son premier GP l’année suivante. C’est désormais l’une des plus populaires étapes du Championnat du Monde MotoGP. Une météo généralement clémente et le magnifique paysage andalou font partie des attraits de Jerez, qui peut accueillir jusqu’à 250 000 spectateurs. Comportant deux tracés distincts resurfacés pendant l’intersaison, Jerez sert de base d’essais pour différentes équipes tout au long de l’année et se distingue aussi par ses installations récemment modernisées. Die Rennstrecke in Jerez wurde 1986 fertig gestellt und war nur ein Jahr später bereits Gastgeber ihres ersten Grand Prix. Heute ist die Strecke einer der beliebtesten MotoGP-Schauplätze und ein Anziehungspunkt der sportfanatischen Stadt. Jerez liegt in einer kleinen Senke im Süden Spaniens und ist mit durchgehend gutem Wetter und einer wunderschönen Landschaft gesegnet. Die zahlreichen Haupttribünen bieten gute Sichtgegebenheiten für bis zu 250 000 Zuschauer.
