Accrediting Commission For Community and Junior Colleges (ACCJC)
Requires that institutions “assess progress toward achieving stated goals and make decisions regarding the improvement of institutional effectiveness in an ongoing and systematic cycle of evaluation, integrated planning, resource allocation, implementation and re-evaluation.”
“A college must have a point in its decision-making process whereby it considers all of its plans, determines how to align them and which ones it will commit to, determines the sequence in which they might best be achieved, sets priorities, and allocates resources and responsibilities to achieve the needed changes by determined dates.”

Why do We C.A.R.E?Why don’t people take the
opportunity to participate?
Apathetic Busy Not committed Disconnect/disgruntled Don’t see the need Core personality (lazy) Don’t believe Doesn’t make a difference Time Compliant Not part of the job Burn out More valuable to department than
college as a whole Individual vs team players Peer pressure creates guilt for having
to backfill jobs when gone. Animosity builds when gone
Fear of retribution Have family obligations Teaching overload Why do people take the opportunity
to participate?
Chance to make a difference Interest Type-A Committed Special Interest Advancement Want to be heard Don’t want to be at their job They really care Influencing direction Have impact Be part of decision making High trust of administration

Who Wants to Be An Integrated Planning Millionaire?
One person from each team will be selected to be the “spokesperson”.
That person will have to respond to a multiple choice question worth 10, 20, or 30 points.
If the spokesperson is unsure of the answer, they have two lifelines: “Poll the audience” – members of their team can vote for
the answer they believe is correct. The spokesperson can choose whether or not to use the most popular answer from their team.
“50/50” – Two of the wrong answers will be removed from the screen and the spokesperson will choose from the remaining answers.
If the team gets the answer correct, they receive the allotted amount of points. If the team gets the answer incorrect, they will not receive any points.
