These are some of the classes that this student is enrolled in.
These are some of the grades for the Sample Student student.
Q1 and Q2 are the two quarters that make S1 (Semester 1)
Q3 and Q4 are the two quarters that make up S2 (Semester 2)
Y16 is the average between both semesters, which is also the overall grade for the year.
The student’s absences and tardies are located on this side.
This student has 0 absences and 1 tardy.
It is very important to keep track of and limit absences and tardies.
Frequent absences and tardies can negatively impact student achievement.
Here you can look back at report card and progress report grades for your student for all prior years at Odyssey.
If your child has attended other elementary or middle schools before coming to
Odyssey, you can view grades from those schools by using the Georgia LDS tab.
This page shows the specific date and class in which an (A) absence or (T) tardyhappened. This can help everyone keep track. Scroll down to see earlier weeks.
Georgia Longitudinal Data System (LDS) is a tool which looks at many years of a student’s history to help make informed, data-driven decisions to improve student learning.
Why use an LDS? The LDS provides districts, schools, teachers,
and now parents with access to historical data, including Assessments, Attendance, Enrollment, Courses, and Grades beginning with the 2006-2007 school year.
Parent’s gained the ability to see parts of the Georgia LDS through PowerSchool in 2016.

What does that mean to me? You can monitor your child’s attendance
history (see the totals by year).
You can see your child’s Lexile Reading Score and whether they are growing along from previous years and at the rate expected.

What does that mean to me? You can monitor your child’s achievement on
statewide assessments
You can identify your child’s strengths and weaknesses in the domains (different topics) in each subject area (Math, Science, Reading, Social Studies)

Use the link at the bottom of the Navigation column to access the Georgia Longitudinal Data System (LDS) from PowerSchool.
A second window will open outside of PowerSchool.

IXL Learning is an American educational technology company that offers an educational website for K-12 students to practice educational material in an interactive way. The company also provides analytical tools to track student and classroom performance and identify areas for academic improvement with each student. Accelerated Reader, or AR, is a computerized program that tests reading comprehension. AR doubles as a reading incentive program because students can earn points from their comprehension test which they can use toward rewards. The program tracks student progress over the course of the school year.
Accelerated Reader uses Renaissance Home Connect to connect students, parents and teachers to share progress and look up AR books.
