IWP ® CusTom Wood dooRs Exterior and Interior Juniper Doors
How do you transform a passageway into a
distinctive masterpiece?
The answer can be found in craftsmanship,
especially when it’s applied to exceptional wood.
At JELD-WEN, we believe this marriage of
artistry and natural beauty makes remarkable
things possible, and this is evident in our
new Juniper exterior and interior doors.
Featuring Juniper’s rich, deep color and large,
swirling grain patterns, which naturally darken
over time, the doors will add a customized
look and visual warmth to any home.

Door designs
These dist inctive exterior and interior doors wil l
complement many home styles—from Old World
to Lodge. The characteristic knots and splits of Juniper
wil l gradually increase over time adding to the unique
and natural beauty of the door. In addition, each of
our Juniper doors is made with engineered components.
Together these characteristics create a unique, rustic
appeal that’s built to last. What’s more, Juniper is an
environmentally friendly choice. Since Juniper is typically
seen as a throwaway wood, using it to make doors
prevents waste while also removing the threat Juniper
can cause to our native forests and grasslands, due
to the species’ high water consumption.
All doors are available prehung with our Insignia®
Door System. Learn more at www.jeld-wen.com.

Craftsmanship details: Permalane prefinishing system
Each IWP® custom Wood exterior and interior door is protected
by our exclusive Permalane f inishing system. During this
comprehensive 10-step process, our craftspeople apply quality
stains, catalyzed sealers and a top coat to the door in a
controlled factory environment. Fine hand-sanding occurs
throughout the process, and detailed hand-rubbing occurs after
the last finish coat. The resulting finish accentuates the
natural beauty of the wood and the stain color; gives the door
a satin feel; and provides protection from the elements.
AuraLast Pre-Hung System:
To ensure quality performance all interior and exterior Juniper
doors are pre-hung in AuraLast Frames. Additional options are
available on request.
NOTE: Variances in photography and printing may cause finish colors shown in this brochure to vary from actual finish. For complete information please contact your sales representative.
BEAUTIFUL DEPTH
Like all IWP® custom Wood doors, our Juniper door designs can be enhanced with options for a
customized look. A few of these options are shown here. To learn more, visit www.jeld-wen.com.
Wood surface textures
Handhewn
This texture adds the look of weatherworn waves to our doors, and it is our least pronounced
texture. To create it, we plane channels of various sizes into the smooth surface of a door’s stiles,
rails and panels. The areas between the smooth surface and channels are then hand-sanded for
a visually pleasing transition between the different surface depths.
Distressing Levels
Our distressed textures give doors an aged, Old World appearance. After applying the same techniques
used to create our handhewn texture, we use chisels and other hand tools to apply random wormholes
and additional character marks to the door’s stiles, rails, panels and mouldings. To accentuate these marks,
we recommend our new Blackened Antique finish.
Wire Brushed
Doors with this texture feature a charming, uneven appearance. We achieve this look by running the
wood through a wire brushing wheel (in the direction of the grain).
Hammering
This textural option gives doors a truly rustic and timeworn appearance. In fact, it’s our roughest and
most rustic surface texture.

AuraLast® wood exterior door frames (patent pending)
This is the industry’s only all-pine, worry-free frame. It can be tooled and machined like standard wood
frames, but delivers the durability of a more expensive, less versatile—and less attractive—composite frame.
Each AuraLast wood door frame provides superior, environmentally friendly protection against wood decay,
water saturation and termites, and this protection will not be compromised when the surface is broken
during installation (unlike traditional dip-treated wood). The frame also stains evenly and consistently.
