Meaning of the Word Shalom:

friend, greet, health, prosperity, safety, secure, welfare, peace

“You shall build the altar of the LORD your God of uncut stones, and you shall offer on it burnt offerings to the LORD your God; 7 and you shall sacrifice peace offerings and eat there, and rejoice before the LORD your God.” Deut 27:6-7

• Complete

“Now three times in a year Solomon offered burnt offerings and peace offerings on the altar which he built to the LORD, burning incense with them on the altar which wasbefore the LORD. So he finished the house.”

I Kings 9:25

• Perfect

The Waters of Marah

Obedience would result in good health for the people.

The Waters of Elim

In our disappointments of life – Do we complain at the waters of Marah, or trust God for his healing touch at the waters of Elim?

God often will test us to see the true condition of our heart.

• To see if we are really looking to Him or somewhere else

• To see if our heart is really devoted to Him or not.

• He is getting ready to do something amazing in our lives.

• He will use the pain and suffering to make us stronger.

• He really does have our best interest in mind.

• He is taking us deeper to reveal more of Himself to us.

The Israelites got to the waters of Elim after first going through the test at the waters of

Marah.
