Despite 20 years of mortgage and real estate industry experience, Jefri Wosachlo’s business is not about money and numbers. For Jefri, a loan originator with Suburban Mortgage in Phoenix, AZ, business is about people, relationships, personality and cereal - thousands upon thous- ands of boxes of cereal. Before addressing the cereal, it’s important to mention the near impossibility of spending 20 minutes speaking with Jefri without noticing her warmth, humor and wit. “I’m a fun- loving person who loves her job!” says Jefri. “I get overly enthusiastic because I’m so happy for every client,” she says. “That happiness keeps me flowing and going, able to help with a constant smile.” Jefri entered mortgages in 1995 while investing in rental properties before be- coming a REALTOR ® and loan officer. “By 1999 I was full-time and it was so rewarding. Assisting people in real- izing their dreams has very little to do with the number of loans or the total dollar amount,” she says. “It’s about the individual and realizing their home- ownership dream.” She explains that recently she closed a loan for a man she helped for three years before he could own a home. “He had personal and financial issues that needed working out, but we stuck it out,” she says. “I assisted him in cleaning up his credit, in making sure he understood the guidelines and was educated throughout every step.” During the process, she says, the client’s fiancée became a REALTOR ® and sold him that first house. The educational component of Jefri’s work brings her great joy. “I love educating estate agents and other loan officers. I host about two events a month, including some for agents approaching the time to renew their licenses, so they’re up-to-date on all the latest changes,” she says. “It’s important that people understand what they’re getting with a mortgage and how they’re getting it,” she says, adding that when REALTORS ® and loan officers are well educated, buyers are positioned strongly for successful closings. “My borrowers know exactly why we need financial statements or why I might request a letter of explanation even before going to underwriting.” Jefri’s attention to detail, passion and empathy distinguish her. “I don’t have a niche, but that doesn’t matter.” She does, however, particularly enjoy finding innovative solutions for first-time buyers and “boomerang” buyers, those purchasing a home after at least three years not owning. “Buying a home after several years of not being able to own is just as exciting as buying a first home!” Jefri’s cheerful, enthusiastic character also nurtures her position as Marketing Director for seven Suburban Mortgage branches. The future looks bright, she says. “I don’t see things changing except that we’ll continue getting better.” One change, perhaps, might be an increase in the cereal donations Jefri collects every summer on behalf of the Desert Missions Food Bank. “We turn our corporate office into a cereal warehouse by collecting donations from July through September,” Jefri explains. She kicked off the drive with Suburban Mortgage a few years ago. “Last year we collected 2,111 cereal boxes and filled more than 20 thousand hungry children’s tummies.” Jefri even completes much of the shopping herself. “People see me in the store with these carts of cereal and start giving me their coupons and cash once they find out what I’m doing!” When not clearing retail shelves of cereal or making people’s homeownership dreams come true, Jefri enjoys travel. “I was a travel agent for 15 years before mortgages and have been to 47 countries,” she says. “I also cook, garden, do yoga and I have a shoe addiction.” JEFRI WOSACHLO Copyright Top Agent Magazine To learn more about Jefri Wosachlo, visit http://www.submort.com/jefriwosachlo/, email [email protected] or call 602-790-5760

addressing the cereal, it’s important to mention the near impossibility of spending 20 minutes speaking with Jefri without noticing her warmth, humor and wit. “I’m a fun-loving person who loves her job!” says Jefri. “I get overly enthusiastic because I’m so happy for every client,” she says. “That happiness keeps me flowing and going, able to help with a constant smile.”

Jefri entered mortgages in 1995 while investing in rental properties before be - coming a REALTOR® and loan officer. “By 1999 I was full-time and it was so rewarding. Assisting people in real-izing their dreams has very little to do with the number of loans or the total dollar amount,” she says. “It’s about the individual and realizing their home-ownership dream.”

She explains that recently she closed a loan for a man she helped for three years before he could own a home. “He had personal and financial issues that needed working out, but we stuck it out,” she says. “I assisted him in cleaning up his credit, in making sure he understood the guidelines and was educated throughout every step.” During the process, she says, the client’s fiancée became a REALTOR® and sold him that first house.

The educational component of Jefri’s work brings her great joy. “I love educating estate agents and other loan officers. I host about two events a month, including some for agents approaching the time to renew their licenses, so they’re up-to-date on all the latest changes,” she says. “It’s important that people understand what they’re

getting with a mortgage and how they’re getting it,” she says, adding that when REALTORS® and loan officers are well educated, buyers are positioned strongly for successful closings. “My borrowers know exactly why we need financial statements or why I might request a letter of explanation even before going to underwriting.”

Jefri’s attention to detail, passion and empathy distinguish her. “I don’t have a niche, but that doesn’t matter.” She does, however, particularly enjoy finding innovative solutions for first-time buyers and “boomerang” buyers, those purchasing a home after at least three years not owning. “Buying a home after several years of not being able to own is just as exciting as buying a first home!” Jefri’s cheerful, enthusiastic character also nurtures her

position as Marketing Director for seven Suburban Mortgage branches. The future looks bright, she says. “I don’t see things changing except that we’ll continue getting better.”

One change, perhaps, might be an increase in the cereal donations Jefri collects every summer on behalf of the Desert Missions Food Bank. “People see me in the store with these carts of cereal and start giving me their

coupons and cash once they find out what I’m doing!”

When not clearing retail shelves of cereal or making people’s homeownership dreams come true, Jefri enjoys travel. “I was a travel agent for 15 years before mortgages and have been to 47 countries,” she says. “I also cook, garden, do yoga and I have a shoe addiction.”
