TRANSCRIPT

Author:

One day at lunch Jeff had a bet that he could

eat the most corndogs.

He was a very competitive kid and always wanted to

win no matter what! So he was challenged to a corndog

eating contest.

Jeff won the contest and his friends thought it would

be fun to call him Corndog for eating all of them and

for just being tall and corny

Growing up as a child Corndog was always getting himself

into trouble. Having a single mom was hard for him espe-

cially not being able to do what the other kids could do.

Every morning during the summer Corndog

would go over to the high school field to

play with the older guys.

The players on the team laughed at corndog for

coming out there to play while the high school

football team worked out.

Corndog was a corny kid and was always

taller than his friends.

Always wanting to win games were not always the

best for Corndog.

He often took it upon himself to cheat

when things were not going his way.

Corndogs friends found out that he always

cheated when they played with him.

They did not like that so they stopped playing with

Corndog which left him out of games.

Corndog realized that it was not good to lie and that

when he would cheat his friends did not want to be

around him.

So Corndog ended up changing his ways and his

friends saw that he was done cheating and started

playing fair in everything he did.

Corndog realized that nothing good

would come to him if he continued to

cheat. He starting playing fair from

that day on and made many friends

along the way. Showing good sports-

manship is always the way to go.
