Jeff Peters sent us the following pictures on how he mounted the planer digital on his older DeWalt 734.

Instead of calibrating the digital per instructions, he took a different approach. After installing the digital on his planer, he planed a board, measured its thickness with a ruler then moved the DRO until the reading matched his ruler measurement. He then planed another board to the same thickness using the DRO to verify the install.
