It is my pleasure and honor that I was asked to write a letter of recommendation for my friend Natalie Duke. I have known Natalie Duke for almost seven years. We met when she was working at a neighborhood restaurant/bar. My wife and I became regular customers of the restaurant - basically because of Natalie. Her engaging personality and quick wit allowed us to get to know Natalie on a more personal basis in a very short amount of time. She is very focused on her work and always has a smile on her face.

What we have experienced with Natalie - as our close friend - is that she is a very hard-working and driven woman. While observing her work behind the bar, she would perform better by herself than if there were three workers behind the bar. Natalie had such a fantastic “following” of regular customers… any given Friday or Saturday night, her place was packed. Her charm, her smile, and her personality helped create a destination of sorts for locals to gravitate to when she was working. Since Natalie left to pursue a new career, the restaurant/bar has not been the same.

Getting to know Natalie on a more personal level over the years has allowed us to see her as a very trustworthy, driven, and loyal woman. My wife and I opened our own restaurant/bar two years ago - and the first person we thought of to manage our place was Natalie. No other person we had met could do what Natalie does in her position, so of course, she was our first choice. We approached Natalie with what we were thinking and she obliged us with a more formal interview. Natalie was very thankful and honored that we would consider her to run our place, however she gracefully denied the offer and said she needed to stay where she was. The owners of the bar she worked at had been so good to her over the years, she just could not part ways. That is a perfect example of her loyalty.

To conclude, Natalie is someone that I would hire for just about any job, knowing she will put forth the extra time and effort needed in order to be a successful employee. She is dependable, honest, hard-working and a true pleasure to be around. Any employer that hires Natalie will surely soon find out what an asset they have acquired. To these points listed above, I confidently say that I can recommend Natalie Duke for any job/career that she is planning to pursue.
