Jeep Grand Cherokee SRT: début of the new Red Vapor limited edition  Making its début in Paris for the EMEA Region is the new Red Vapor special series of the high­performance Jeep Grand Cherokee SRT version, the fastest and most powerful Jeep model to ever be made. Featuring a distinctive and aggressive look, the new car presents the unprecedented Active Noise Cancellation (ANC) technology that further enhances the comfort and driving satisfaction of the SRT on an easy daily trip or when tackling a more energetic outing over your favourite trail.   Exterior Catching attention on the exterior are the 20" five­spoke "Goliath" wheels with "Monkey" design and specific "Black Vapor" black chrome finish, while the lower grille and inserts of the upper grille, plus the "SRT" badge on the tailgate, the "Grand Cherokee" badge on the side panels and "Jeep" badge on the bonnet and rear grille are glossy black.   In detail, the special series sports the classic seven­slot grille with black bumper insert of the SRT version, paired with the narrow bi­xenon adaptive headlights surrounded by the characteristic LED light. The headlights feature an exclusive black background that sets the SRT apart from the other Jeep Grand Cherokee models and at the same time stresses its distinctive look.   The treatment of the front light cluster of the Grand Cherokee SRT is seen in the rear, and it gives the car a styling consistent with the larger rear light cluster complete with the characteristic LED lights. To further underscore the legendary performance of the SRT, the rear light cluster has a black border that creates the illusion of fluctuating lights. Completing the look of the new special series is the aerodynamic rear spoiler built into the tailgate with one­touch opening by pressing the raised "SRT" badge.   The Jeep Grand Cherokee SRT Red Vapor is available in three body colours: Redline Pearl Clear Coat, Brilliant Black Crystal Pearl Coat and Bright White Clear Coat.   Interiors The exclusive "SRT" logo on the steering wheel is backlit and the trim sports an anodised silver finish. Grey chrome replaces the standard shiny chrome and Radar Red details that give the luxurious and aggressive interior emphasis are used throughout the cab.   The decorative dark red engine compartment lids beneath the bonnet complete the special look of the special series.   Available with a specific Laguna leather interior upholstery in Black with central insert in Radar Red suede, the new Red Vapor special series is fitted out with the 8.4" UconnectTM touchscreen 

display complete with integrated 3D navigation, advanced voice recognition with one­shot­destination­entry, Bluetooth audio streaming and hands­free system.   The central console houses the leather­upholstered T­shaped selector for changing the eight speeds, while the heated three­spoke steering wheel with flat rear plate ­ an exclusive feature of the SRT version ­ offers a number of controls that provide the driver with comfort, functionality and connectivity. Another outstanding feature is the instrument panel containing a 7" colour multifunction display that the driver can completely customise, while carbon fibre details embellish the front door panels and the instrument panel.   Lastly, the Red Vapor special series offers as standard the Harman Kardon surround sound system   putting out 825 watts of power and that includes 19 speakers, 32­volt tracking power supply (TPS) and a 12­channel class D amplifier that offer all occupants exceptional acoustics and top quality sound.   "Active Noise Cancellation" technology to exalt the sound of the 6.4­litre V8 engine Equipped with the tried­and­tested 468 HP 6.4­litre HEMI® V8 engine with 624 Nm of torque and equipped with Fuel Saver technology to cut fuel consumption and emissions, the SRT version boasts class­leading performance: acceleration 0­100 km/h in 5 seconds, top speed of 257 km/h, and a stopping distance from 100 to 0 km/h of 35 metres.   This engine's performance is as extraordinary as its sound. The Red Vapor special series is able to carry it into the cab with the innovative Active Noise Cancellation (ANC) technology that exploits the car's sound system and four strategically placed microphones that also contribute to eliminating noise and vibration within the passenger compartment. The powerful engine is matched up with the eight­speed automatic transmission with Eco mode that optimises the gear shift programme and extends activation of the Fuel Saver technology (it deactivates four cylinders when conditions so permit). By using a button on the central console, the driver can activate the Eco mode to improve fuel savings.   The gearbox software also analyses a number of variables ­ such as the engine torque gradients, the kick­downs, longitudinal and lateral acceleration, variations in road gradient, detection of the friction and downshifting ­ to properly adapt the gear changing map. To get a sporting driving experience, the driver can switch to manual mode and use the shift paddles on the steering wheel. An added feature is the electronic T­shaped selector that provides total freedom in choosing a gear shift programme independent from the Selec­Track system.   Last but not least, the Jeep Grand Cherokee SRT offers as standard the Launch Control system that when activated by pressing a button located on the central console lets the driver best manage performance by coordinating engine, transmission, traction, stability control and suspension for starting out in manual.   

Handling and braking system The Grand Cherokee SRT is fitted with short long arms (SLA) front suspension with coil springs, adaptive Bilstein suspension (ADS), upper and lower control arms (wishbones) and an anti­roll bar.  A multi­link suspension with coil spring, Bilstein ADS, aluminium lower control arm, independent upper joints (tension and camber) plus separate toe­in arm and anti­roll bar have instead been chosen for the rear.   The car is fitted with the Selec­Track system that uses performance tuning software to set apart the five dynamic modes ­ Auto, Sport, Tow, Track and Snow ­ so the driver can choose the car's ride the best meets use requirements and environmental conditions.   Equipped with red 6­piston (front) and 4­piston (rear) Brembo callipers and 38­cm (front) and 35­cm (rear) ventilated discs, the Grand Cherokee SRT Red Vapor's braking performance is excellent: just a little more than 35 metres are needed to come to a complete stop from a speed of 100 k/h.   Safety and comfort The 2015 Grand Cherokee SRT boasts advanced safety features: front collision warning that notifies the driver of quickly approaching vehicles, blind spot monitoring and detection of vehicles coming from behind, which helps driver when they change lanes or park. 

New Jeep Wrangler Unlimited “X” special series  The new Wrangler "X" special series is making its début on the French catwalk. It will be available as a two­door Wrangler or a four­door Wrangler Unlimited in the EMEA Region starting from the first quarter of 2015.   Two engines are available: the 2.8­litre turbo diesel delivering 200 hp of power and 460 Nm of torque, and the sparkling 3.6­litre petrol V6 Pentastar (284 hp of power and 347 Nm of torque). Both engines are matched to an automatic five­speed transmission. In Italy it will be available only fitted with the 2.8­litre turbo diesel engine with automatic five­speed transmission.   Modelled on the Jeep Wrangler Sahara version, the new "X" special series has a unique exterior with a body­coloured seven­slot grille with glossy black inserts, raised dual­intake engine bonnet, 18" Gloss Black alloy wheels and black fuel tank cap by Mopar. Furthermore, to grant the freedom of the open air driving experience of a unique 4x4 convertible car that only the legendary Wrangler can deliver, the new "X" version comes standard with the modular Freedom Top® in the same colour as the body.   The exclusive personalisation of the special series jumps to the eye on the interior as well, where the black leather seats with sporty fabric inserts and Light Slate Grey stitching, heated front seats, glossy Ceramic White inserts that distinguish the passenger grab handle, air vent surrounds on the dashboard and those of the instrument panel stand out. The on­board comfort 

for all occupants is ensured by a complete set of standard equipment that includes automatic climate control, leather steering wheel with built­in controls, heated front seats, special Mopar mats and a multimedia entertainment system and UconnectTM GPS satellite navigation system with 6.5" touchscreen, 40 GB hard disk, USB port, AUX input and DVD video player.   The legendary off­road capabilities of the Wrangler range are ensured by the part­time two­speed Command­Trac® NV241 four­wheel drive system with two­speed 'shift­on­the fly' gear selection and low gear range ratio of 2.72:1. All this and more without skimping on good looks to transfer the car's adventure­loving spirit into town, a concept also confirmed by the four liveries available: Bright White, Black, Firecracker Red and Baja Yellow.   

Wrangler Unlimited Rubicon "Stealth" show car  Another 'Moparized' car is on display at the Paris Motor Show, the Jeep Wrangler Unlimited Rubicon "Stealth" equipped with the 200 hp 2.8­litre turbo diesel and fitted out with original Mopar accessories. It is an example of extreme technical modification for the toughest off­road use and striking looks in which no detail is overlooked: from the Performance bonnet with air vents and black mesh grille to the brand­new LED light bar.   Moreover, a pair of off­road bumpers (Rubicon X design) replace the original ones and, together with flat wings, rock rails, raised ride kit and 37­inch tyres, make the Rubicon Stealth a truly unstoppable Jeep off­roader. The mirror caps and the fuel tank cap sporting the Jeep logo, the half doors and the 17" rims are further customisation touches that enthusiasts of the brand will surely appreciate.  Last but not least, style details jointly created by Jeep, Mopar and the Centro Stile Fiat Chrysler Automobiles complete the show car, making it absolutely unique. The external livery features an Iron Peltrox Iron textured paint while the exclusive interior includes vintage­style leather seats and upholstery.
