ASIA AMERICA SYMPHONY ASSOCIATION 608 Silver Spur Road #320 Rolling Hills Estates, CA 90274 A MESSAGE FROM DAVID BENOIT, MUSIC DIRECTOR 2020 C O N C E R T S E A S O N Dear friends and supporters of AASA: After 18 straight seasons running the show, I thought it was time to step back and work on some new compositions and continue to promote my new album. Due to a filled concert tour and launching my new album, I will be taking a short hiatus from running our youth symphony this season. Our more than qualified, assistant conductor, Joe Marino will be filling my role. Joe has been assisting with the youth symphony for over 15 years and has taught for the Palos Verdes School District for over 30 years. I will return to the orchestra for the June 12th concert and debut a new arrangement of “Can You Imagine” for orchestra and piano soloist. It is a jazz piece I wrote over 40 years ago and the title of my 1979 album, “Can You Imagine.” In this iteration, the orchestra sets up the introduction followed by The Young Aja band and myself and finally a completely improvised piano cadenza at the end. As always, thank you for your continued support. Together we can make a difference in the lives of young, aspiring musicians and bring music to the community. Yours sincerely, David Benoit Music Director emeritus Founder: Asia America Youth Symphony Pacific Vision Youth Symphony David Benoit, Music Director & Conductor

Dear friends and supporters of AASA:

After 18 straight seasons running the show, I thought it was time to step back and work on some new compositions and continue to promote my new album.

Yours sincerely,
