CCH Axcess Automates Data Input, 1040 Tax Preparation and Document ManagementThe firm has used tax software products from Wolters Kluwer since 1995, and moved to CCH Axcess several years ago to improve efficiency throughout the 1040 tax preparation and compliance workflow. CCH Axcess™ Portal Enables Secure Communication with Clients at Flexible TimesThe firm has also adopted secure, cloud-based client portals using CCH Axcess Portal, but still allows clients to decide whether they want to use a portal or not. The clients that use Portal have quickly come to appreciate its convenience and anytime accessibility.

CCH® eSign Reduces Administrative Costs and Speeds e-File AuthorizationsThe firm collects client and staff signatures electronically using CCH eSign. Named a 2015 Top New Product by Accounting Today, it’s the first solution created especially for the IRS-approved use of e-signatures on Form 8879. CCH eSign works across a wide array of documents, directly through CCH Axcess™ Tax.
Jaynes, Reitmeier, Boyd & Therrell, P.C. participated in the trial of CCH eSign and has used the product for two years. The firm doubled its use of CCH eSign in the 2015 tax season and it increased the effectiveness of the administrative team during that busy time.

returns this year and that is doubled from last tax season. For

Moving forward, Spille and Woodard hope to spread the use of CCH eSign throughout the firm. They acknowledge that getting clients to use novel technology for the first time can be challenging. However, once clients use CCH eSign, they find it more convenient than any other method of returning Form 8879.
