This is a fairly recent release by Jason Derulo and he too is a fairly fresh new artist. To emphasise his making in the industry he sings his name at the very beginning. The main reason I was drawn to this particular video was firstly because I was so drawn to the catchy song, it’s a feet tapping sing along. I then decided to check the video out and found that throughout the video the camera is constantly flicking to different shots and in time with the beat too. The video is based around the story of Derulo cheating on his partner and the truth coming out, throughout the song he is saying his apologies and trying to win his other half back. Then at the very end she opens the door to talk to him, suggesting that maybe she wants to forgive him. The story matches up with the song. The start of the video seems to really get my feet tapping because of the bold clicking noise that stands out from the rest of the song. He then bolden's this sound by clicking his fingers to the beat and this is what the camera is focusing on. Another part in this video that I find particularly appealing is when Derulo is standing in front of a window in an apartment hall way and the light is shining in from behind him, so we are limited to what we see of him, that being only his silhouette, dancing is now apparently quite popular amongst video’s. The lighting seems to play quite a part in this video, shining through the windows, showing us that beam of light shining through. The first chorus has an unbelievable amount of cuts that all flick in time with the chorus’s beats and I think this has to be my favourite part of the entire video.
