12.11 Slide the rotor (item 67) from the rotor sleeve(item 68).

12.12 Remove vanes (item 66) from the rotor.

12.13 Remove bearing (item 70) from rear end plate(item 69).

12.14 Clamp the rotor (item 67) in soft jaws of a viseto prevent damage the outside of the rotor.

12.15 Using a 1/4 inch allen wrench, loosen planetaryspindle (item 59) from the rotor (item 67).

12.16 Hold the front end plate (item 63 attached to therotor) in your hand and tap on the center of therotor until the front end plate and the bearing(item 60) separate from the rotor. Be careful notto damage the threads on the rotor.

12.17 Remove bearing (item 60) from front end plate(item 63).

12.18 Remove spacer (item 65) from rotor (item 67).

12.19 Inspect all parts for wear and replace them ifnecessary.

13 AIRMOTORANDPLANETARYGEARASSEM-BLY:

13.1 Reverse steps and procedures outlined in sec-tion 12. See notes below:

13.1.1 If front end plate (item 63) had a shim (item61) in it, be sure that the shim is in place be-fore installing the new bearing (item 60).NOTE: shimming is necessary to maintainrotor clearance to the front end plate. Addor subtract shims so that the clearance is.001 to .002 inches.

13.1.2 Spacer (item 65) must be assembled on ro-tor (item 67) before front end plate (item63)is assembled.

13.1.3 The grooves in the ends of the rotor sleeve(item 68) and the pins (item 64) in the endplates (items 63 and 69) must be aligned forthe end plates to fit properly.

13.1.4 Place the complete assembly on a table andtap on the rotor shaft until the end platestouch the rotor sleeve.

13.1.5 Slide the motor assembly into the housing(item 86). Align the pin (item 62) in thefront end plate (item 63) with the groove in-side the housing.

13.1.6 Install bearing spacer (item 58) into thehousing (item 86).

13.1.7 Slide the planetary gear assembly into hous-ing (item 86). It may be necessary to turnplanetary gear shaft (item52) to align plane-tary idler gears (item 54).

13.1.8 Assemble ball bearings (items 51 and 57)with seal facing away from planetary gearshaft (item 52).

13.1.9 Tap on the shaft of planetary gear shaft (item52) until bearing (item 51) is approximately1/16 inch above housing (item 86).
