Trying to create a fil rouge passing sinuously but coherently through the spring summer 11 designers’

creations, I started to figure out a story about a young girl with cartoonish features. The protagonist of this

collection deals with different situations always in perfect outfits, so that the moods come one after the

other developing in parallel with the girl’s adventures.

A young Japanese girl wakes up with a dreamy face refusing to open her eyes.

A bird is coming to her window whispering she has to go to school :

she is wearing watercolour printings adorned by cotton lace appliqué.

When it comes to adventures, we find our heroine ready and delicious in parachute line dresses

emphasized by her movements : she is a shaded light spot.

By night, electronic sounds shifts from her headphones to clubs and she wears technical fabrics with LP

printing displayed as L O V E and M U S I K words.

For the Sunday family launch, the young girl takes inspiration from the tradition and adopts kimono style

dresses renewed with a sartorial and contemporary twist.

Japanse Zomer is the name of an exhibition held in Amsterdam few years ago, inquiring the

impressionism relationship with Japanese Meiji art.

Today the Nippon influence on Eastern culture surely starts with a certain kind of cartoonish imagination.
