1.  Certification  of  personnel-‐‑‒Registration  of  Standardization  Experts

Standardization Experts (with relevant experience)※

Provisional Standardization Experts （training＋exam）

Registration  Center  of  Experts  for  Standardization 　(RCES) in JSA

Registration scheme ※ Relevant experience as below for at least two years (1) Expert of ISO/IEC committees (2) Committee member of ISO/IEC national mirror committees (3) Committee members of JIS, national standards, developing committee (4) Committee member of standards developing committees in standards developing organizations (5) Other experience equivalent to the above

・Registration  scheme  was  launched  in  June  2017.・Persons  with  professional  knowledge/experience  on  standards  development  are  registered  under  the  scheme.

1.   Certification  of  personnel-‐‑‒  Registration  of  Standardization  Experts

Benefits for Business l Have Standardization Experts take a role as consultants Reduce cost for standardization Benefits for Standardization Experts l Standardization Experts ‘ skills are mutually understood Standardization Experts have opportunity to participate in standardization even if they switch companies.

For examples,

ü Company can use professional knowledge and network on standardization without investing on human resources and costs for a long time.

ü Standardization Experts in company can present their standardization skill.

ü Standardization Experts can be consultants.

ü   Quality  Management  and  Quality  Control  Examination  since  2005

ü   QM/QC  Examination  is  a  four-‐‑‒grade  set  of  test  to  evaluate  the  personal  knowledge  and  ability  on  quality  management  and  standardization.

ü Annual  number  of  examinees  is  about  126  000,  including  more  then  12  000  of  under  19  years  old.

ü Annual  number  of  participated  high  schools  is  about  140.ü  Total  number  of  certification  holders  is  over  439  000

ISO/IEC  Young  professional  Japan

ü  Started  as  Japanese  version  of  IEC  Young  professional  programme  since  2012  and  enhanced  by  government  policy  since  2014

ü Over  200  participantsü  Key  objectives

-‐‑‒  Encourage  active  engagement  of  young  professionals  in  ISO/IEC  international  standardization  and  relationship  among  standards  professionals

-‐‑‒  Promote  young  professionalsʼ’  participation  in  standards  development

-‐‑‒  Promote  the  younger  generation  modes  of  communication  and  collaboration  into  standards  development
