New Years resolutions – Why not ask for sponsorship to help you kick that habit or lose those extra pounds
Winnie the Pooh Day – On January 18 why not hold an indoor picnic for Winnie the Pooh or maybe a pooh sticks competition!
Back to work blues – Banish those back to work blues by raffl ing off a lie-in to staff or sponsor your boss to job swop for a day; you know
you’d like to see them on reception.
Valentines Day – Share the love by selling homemade valentines cards or themed cup cakes
Shrove Tuesday – Have some fun by throwing a pancake tossing competition
British Yorkshire pudding day – Yup, the fi rst Sunday in February is dedicated to the humble Yorkshire pud. Why not have a cooking competition, or even a tasting with different fi llings.
St Patricks Day – Go green for a dress down day at work, sell shamrock shaped cookies or hold a fancy dress competition
Mothers Day – Sell homemade Mothers Day gifts, or offer a gift wrapping service
Easter – Organise an Easter egg hunt, or maybe an Easter bonnet competition .
St Georges Day – Have a redand white day at work with face painting
London Marathon – Consider Blue Cross as your charity of choice
Blue Cross Paws for Tea – Throw a tea party for friends and family to collect those pennies
English Wine Week – If you want something a little more grown up, why not have a wine tasting evening, or cheese and wine party
Volunteers Week – Find out more about the varied volunteer roles available at Blue Cross
Euro 2016 – The football kicks off this month in France, so why not hold you own table football tournament, keepy-uppy challenge or penalty shoot out
Royal Ascot – if you can’t make it in person, try hosting your own Ladies Day luncheon; any excuse to dress up!

4th of July – Arrange a barn dance or bbq, or maybe a line dancing marathon
Car washing – Get permission to set up a stand, work with a local group or school or just pester your friends and family but make those cars sparkle. Wax on, wax off!
Wimbledon – Hold a themed party or tennis tournament
Summer Olympics – Let your competitive side take over and arrange a sports day or sweepstake for your favourite event
Left Handers Day – challenge yourself and learn to do things left handed
National Cupcake Week – all we need to say to you is ‘cupcake bake off’
Back to school – get the kids involved; they could make and sell cats toys, fill sweet tubes with pennies or do a sponsored silence.
Reality TV sweepstake – it’s that time of year, whether its X Factor, Strictly or Bake Off, why not hold a sweepstake for your favourite telly programme

Halloween – Get creative with a pumpkin carving competition or offer spooky face painting
World Animal Day – sell doggie treats, or maybe ask work colleagues to dress in animal themed onesies for the day
Kindness Day UK – We are going to take a month out and say a big thank you to all our supporters who have been kind enough to support our appeal
Christmas – the options here are endless, carol singing, homemade Christmas cards, festive winter walk, Christmas fetes.
Day of the Ninja – who knew! If you need a break from the Christmas festivities, raise money dressed as a ninja!
