YOUTH ACTIVITIES

Where in the world has the week gone? I'm pretty sure we were just getting on a plane for Florida yesterday… It has been such an uplifting week here at NCYM! I've found myself saying several times, "this is just what I've been needing." I've got to say thank you to the elders for allowing me to be gone a few days! I hope you've had a good start to your new year as well. It's time to start making those resolutions a reality; I'm sure you're well on your way towards your goals. Count your blessings as this year begins and resolve to do your best to pass them on to the people you see ever day! Remember, God is good all the time!

Party!

Getting To Know You Dennis and Janice Grisham were both raised right here in the ‘Show Me’ state. Dennis grew up on a dairy farm in Dora and Janice lived in West Plains. The Grishams have been members at Sunset for nine years this week.

Dennis is a loan officer at Empire Bank, and Janice is a retired school teacher. They have two children, Brent (37) and Amy (34). And being partial to hun-gry pups, they have recently taken in a one-eyed farm dog named Dixie.

Dennis’s hobbies are camping, camping and when he has a little time, camping. Janice likes reading, photography and, thank goodness, she likes camp-ing too. And though springtime is their favorite, any time of year is a good time to camp for these two. Just like a stray dog they may turn up anywhere.

The Grishams usually attend 1st service, and nor-mally sit on the west side of the auditorium.

Weeping may remain for a night, but rejoicing comes in the morning.

~Psalm 30:5

We will all be changed—in a flash, in the twinkling of an eye, at the last trumpet. For the trumpet will sound, the dead will be raised imperishable, and we will be changed. For the perishable must clothe itself with the imperishable, and the mortal with immortality. When the perishable has been clothed with the imperishable, and the mortal with immortality, then the saying that is written will come true: “Death has been swallowed up in victory.”

“Where, O death, is your victory?

Where, O death, is your sting?”

The sting of death is sin, and the power of sin is the law. But thanks

be to God! He gives us the victory through our Lord Jesus Christ.

~1 Corinthians 15:51-57
