Dear Father Ziegler and generous
St. Patrick's Parishioners:
Happy New Year! Once again, we thank you for
the generosity shown to our Mary’s Shelter families over
this past year. Mary’s Shelter provides refuge to women
who find themselves homeless while facing a crisis during
a pregnancy. Many of these women might not have made
the choice of life, if not for a place for their child to
live. The babies born into our homes receive so much
more in stability and opportunity because of the peace in
simply having the safe home their mothers receive, as well
as the programs offered to instill positive life skills for our
families. Without your prayers and support, we simply
could not do what we have been able to do for this
community. Lives have been saved because of the
compassion, donations and commitment that have made to
this ministry.
To date, we have had over 250 women come
through our doors, many with additional children in tow
and, of course, we have been blessed to welcome home
many beautiful infants.. In addition to the women we
serve in our homes, we are a resource to families in our
community who are not in our program but require
assistance with housing resources, baby and child needs,
financial assistance and more. We thank you for
supporting this ministry, making it possible for us to
support others in need.
A big thank you to all who gave this Christmas
through the Giving Tree. It is always amazing to see the
love shown through generous folks to our families.. This
year was uplifting for all. Moms saw their children in new
pajamas and warm clothing, the kids were thrilled to open
their toys. We believe the moms smile more than the
children do seeing the thoughtfulness and compassion
shown, knowing their babies were so lovingly thought
of. The gift cards are very appreciated and will go a long
way in assisting our residents. Gift cards will be used for
new residents who are not yet working or in programs to
get food for their families. These cards will also be used
for all household needs such as bedding and
cleansers. Our Mary's Shelter families are incredibly
blessed. We are so very thankful.
On behalf of our Board of Directors and Staff, we
pray for a very Happy, Healthy and Holy New Year for all
at St. Patrick's.
