Church Support $7,261.00 Youth 65.00 Offertory $304.25 St. Joseph—no Masses last weekend Thank you for your financial help in fulfilling
our mission to make Jesus present to all.
I have been asked to explain when Masses
will be canceled. This will be different for
O’Brien County and Spencer and also for
weekday and weekend Masses.
In Spencer there will be Mass unless Scott
Allen tells me that the parking lot and side-
walks are unsafe for people to navigate.
This will still be the case on a weekday even
if school starts late or is called off and
includes Friday.
For O’Brien County, there will not be a
weekday Mass if the local school district
calls for a late start or no school due to
weather. On weekend Masses I will decide
based on weather, travel conditions, and
the condition of parking lots and sidewalks.
I usually consult with others to gather infor-
mation before making a decision.
This being said, please use your own good
judgement as to whether or not it is safe
for you to attend Mass. Even though there
is Mass, it may not be safe for you to drive
or walk in questionable conditions. If Mass
is canceled or no one shows up for Mass,
then I will reschedule that Mass intention
for another time.
Please consult KICD or KIWA radio or their
websites to find out if a Mass is canceled.
We will also get the word out through email
or social media. It helps all of us to have a
good attendance at Mass, but please keep
yourselves safe. Let me know if you have
any questions. Blessings, Fr. Tim
