The match, being organisedin collaboration with J&KPolice, shall take place at3:00 PM. The game shall bewitnessed, as per the invita-tion received here onTuesday, by Governor, SatyaPal Malik, who has consented

to be the Special Guest. Anumber of other top policeand civil officers of the Stateare expected to be there inthe pavilion.

Pertinent to mention herethat the J&K Government,for the first time in the histo-ry of sports, extended afinancial help of Rs 2 crore(spread over three years) to aprivately owned sports iden-tity in the State, the RealKashmir FC.

Kashmir based RealKashmir has earned a nameat the national level in therecent past through its per-formance in the League.

STATE TIMES NEWSRAJOURI: On their returnfrom a eight-day capacitybuilding tour during whichthey also visited severalplaces in Gujarat, a group of16 students, eight boys andeight girls, from Poonchinteracted with army com-mander in Rajouri Districton Tuesday and thanked thearmy for the experience.

General OfficerCommanding, Romeo Force,Major General P.S Bajwainteracted with the group atPalma in district Rajouri andexhorted them to work hard,dream big and contributepositively towards nationbuilding, PRO Defence, LtCol Devender Anand, said.

He said the students werereturning from a capacitybuilding tour organised byarmy. The tour aimed at pro-viding exposure to the stu-dents about the rich culturalheritage, diversity and eco-nomic growth in the country,besides giving them insight

into some of the industrialand defence establishmentsin Gujarat. The tour wasflagged off on January 14.

During the course of thetour, Lt Col Anand said, thestudents visited RelianceRefinery Jamnagar, IIM,Ahmedabad, Statue of Unity,Gandhi Ashram, Laxmi VilasPalace (Museum) Vadodara,Khijadia Bird Sanctuary andArmy establishments inAhmedabad, Gandhinagarand Jamnagar.

During their visit, headded, the participants hadthe honour to interact withGovernor of Gujarat OmPrakash Kohli and seniorarmy officers.

The participants also spokeabout the rich experiencegained from the tour andthanked the Army for provid-ing such an invaluable expo-sure, the spokesman added.

The GOC complimented allthe participants for success-ful completion of the tour,the spokesman said.

DDC reviews progress under BADPSTATE TIMES NEWS

POONCH: District Development Commissioner PoonchRahul Yadav on Tuesday convened a meeting to review thefinancial and physical progress of various schemes and worksunder Border Area Development Programme (BADP) at DCOffice.

The meeting was attended by ADDC Abdul Hamid, ACD,CPO, Executive engineers of PWD, PHE and Irrigation,AEE PDD, representatives of BSF and other concerned offi-cials.

During the meeting, the DDC reviewed the progress ofongoing development works taken up under BADP andemphasized for timely completion of development works withproper follow up of BADP guidelines and proper utilisation offunds.

He also impressed upon the officers to timely submit theutilisation certificates of various works taken up under BADP.

The DDC also reviewed the department wise progress ofvarious works taken under BADP.

Signature campaign under BBBP held STATE TIMES NEWS

SAMBA: To raise the awareness amongst the common mass-es regarding Beti Bachao, Beti Padhao Yojana, districtadministration Samba under the supervision of DeputyCommissioner (chairperson BBBP) Sushma Chauhan inau-gurated signature campaigns at district and block levels onTuesday. During the second day of week-long celebration forBBBP in district Samba, signature campaign at GovernmentDegree College Samba was held in which students, facultyand other sections of society took part.

"Declining sex ratio is a matter of grave concern for thesociety as a whole and for Samba in particular and to sensi-tise the young generations about such social perils awarenessthrough the signature campaigns are held across the district,"DSWO Samba said.

Vice Principal GDC Samba Ashok Bhagat, Secretary RedCross Society Samba Jagdish Raj Sharma, besides other con-cerned, were also present.
