Happy New Year Friends!!!! A fresh new year is once
again upon us. It’s the time to be thankful for the blessings
of the past year and to take stock of all our achievements.
At the same time, 2019 is a brand new year to start afresh,
to start strong, and yet another chance to do everything we
want to do this year. So, set positive goals and resolutions.
And be excited for what you can achieve this year.
Our greatest glory is not in never falling, but in rising every
time we fall. — Confucius
Looking forward to seeing everyone at our club social

OC Vettes Holiday Party The 2018 O C Vettes Holiday Party was held
on Sunday Dec 9th in the Grand Salon at the
Queen Mary. The dining room was decorated
for the holidays and featured a live band for
entertainment. Forty-six people attended the
Queen Mary Royal Brunch featuring over 50
unique dishes from around the globe. Dishes
included traditional western breakfast fare like
made-to-order omelets, pancakes, Belgian
waffles, eggs benedict and homemade hash.
There were southwestern offerings such as
Albondigas soup and carne asada tacos, and
Asian cuisine with Hot n’ Sour soup, sushi, or
Asian style ribs. There was a large salad
station featuring a chef crafted Cobb salad,
imported tuna nicoise and a variety of
domestic and imported cheeses. The highlight
of the brunch was the signature carving
station, which offered perfectly prepared prime
rib with au jus and leg of lamb with mint.

Everyone had a wonderful time and enjoyed the
delicious food items as well as all the champagne
you could drink. Members were invited to a self
tour of the ship after their meal. Many thanks to
Leo and Donna Mann for arranging the party. It
was a great way to kick off the holidays!
