Member Autobiography

Evelyn Poulo

My sister and I are identical twins. We were the first of six children and helped

to raise our younger siblings. I have two college degrees: One in Environmental Science

and one in Computer Science, I started my work life by managing Environmental Impact

Statements. Later, I pursued computers. I loved programming and I eventually began

managing a database. I retired at 53, but sometimes I want to go back to work to use my

mind.

I have three adult children, who all lead interesting lives. One son was a Marine in

Helmond province in Afghanistan for eight months. That was the hardest eight months

waiting for him to come home.

I like to travel and want to explore many new places. I would like to explore Colorado via

four day trips. I also like to camp and cook over an open fire. I like to create memory

books about the highlights of our lives. I want to pass these book on to my

grandchildren.
