Who is involved in the teaching?

Jackie Scutt and Alan Kay are the Course Tutors

We also have guest lecturers who are experts in their area of social enterprise development.

Who is it for?

Anyone involved in running, supporting or working with social enterprises.

We are keen to recruit a mixed group to generate a forum for peer learning as well as individual study.

What are the entry requirements?

You would usually be expected to have a degree or HE diploma but this is not compulsory.

Your suitability for the programme can also be evidenced by your understanding of social enterprise through your work experience.

Social Enterprise Project

Your project will run throughout the period of study. You will act in a business development role to an organisation.

You can choose to focus on:• The setting up of a new social enterprise or• The expansion of an existing social enterprise or• The re-focusing of an organisation towards social

enterprise.

Assessment

Social Enterprise Policy Into Practice:

2 x 3,000 word written assignments

Social Enterprise Project:

6,000 word project report comprising business/development plan.
