The lapse at the Dental Branch is the result of a decision to use local funds for payrolls fox the months of June, July, and August, 1958, thereby creatlng a substantial saving in legislative appropriations effective August 31, 1958.

The anticipated lapse at Texas Western College in teaching salaries for 195 7 -58 w i 11 approximate $40,000.
