Prayer to Saint Joseph
Oh, St. Joseph, whose protection is so great, so strong, so prompt before the throne of God, I place in you all my interest and desires. Oh, St. Joseph, do assist me by your powerful intercession, and ob-tain for me from your divine Son, all spiritual blessing, through Jesus Christ our Lord, so that, having engaged here below your heavenly power, I may offer my thanksgiving and homage to the most loving of Fathers. Oh, St. Joseph, I never weary contemplating you and Jesus asleep in your arms. I dare not approach while He reposes near your heart. Press him in my name and kiss His fine head for me and ask Him to return the kiss when I draw my dying breath. St. Joseph, Pa-tron of departing souls, pray for me. Amen.
Prayer for Vocations
O God, we earnestly ask you to bless this Diocese with many priests, broth-ers and sisters who will love you with their whole strength and gladly spend their en-
tire lives to serve Your church and to make You known and loved. Bless our families,
bless our children, choose from our homes those needed for your work. Mary, Queen
of the Clergy, pray for us, pray for our priests, religious and deacons. Obtain for
us many more. Amen
Vocation Cross—Mary Guillory will receive the Cross this week. If you would like to receive the cross, sign
up in the foyer of the church.
We will once again participate in the Baby Bottle Campaign benefitting the Desormeaux Foundation. This provides help for women in crisis pregnancy. Most importantly, remember to pray for those who feel that abortion is the only solution.
Baby Bottles can be returned this weekend (along with your donations) at any Mass or drop it off at the church office. Checks can be payable to the Desormeaux Foundation.
Tax Time! If you used the offering enve-lopes in 2020 and would like a state-ment for your income tax, please call the office at 779-2627 or send email to [email protected]
UPCOMING MEETINGS & EVENTS
Catholic Daughters- Tuesday, January 19 @10AM- Parish Hall
Pro-Life Quote- "I believe that life is valuable, even when it is unwanted, even when it is physically im-perfect. I believe our society has a responsibility to
defend the vulnerable and the weak. And I believe our nation should set a goal that unborn children should be welcomed in life and protected in law." President George W. Bush, at the signing ceremony for Tex-as' Parental Notification Law (June 7, 1999) Prayer to End Abortion Lord God, I thank you today for the gift of my life, and for the lives of all my brothers and sisters. I know there is nothing that destroys life more than abortion, yet I rejoice that you have conquered death by the Resurrection of Your Son. I am ready to do my part in ending abortion. Today I commit my-self never to be silent, never to be passive, never to be for-getful of the unborn. I commit myself to be active in the pro-life movement, and never to stop defending life until all my brothers and sisters are protected, and our nation once again becomes a nation with liberty and justice not just for some, but for all. Through Christ our Lord. Amen

Over 61 million babies have been killed by abortion since Roe vs Wade became law 48 years ago. Friday January 22 is the anniversary of this sad time for our coun-try. Pray for an end to this atrocity. There are Prolife rosaries in the church
foyer and also at church office. These rosaries are made and donated by ladies in our parish. Please consider attending mass on Friday as we need more than ever to pray for the conversion of those who promote and partic-ipate in abortion. To participate in the 9 Days for Life is a novena for the protection of human life, join @ https://pro-life-activities.lpages.co/ Each day’s intention is accom-panied by a short reflection and suggested actions to help build a culture of life.
The office will be closed Monday, January 18th, in observance of Martin Luther King Day.
