    January 10, 2020

There was no 'I' in TEAM during this months Rachel's Rascals. BIG (Middle School Students) and little (Mt. Wolf

Students) Bobcats worked together to make snowmen, and it was difficult to tell who was mentoring who as we

worked our way through the activity. Either way, there were plenty of smiles and laughs shared! Students fin-

ished the afternoon with a book about our anticipated arrival of snow...and of course, building snowmen!

  • Orendorf Elementary Kindergarteners in Mrs. Vanada's class celebrated the winter weather

by creating snowflakes during STEM Friday. Students learned about snow and quickly

demonstrated that no two snowflakes are alike.

  • Northeastern Middle School FOR Club

would like to thank the outstanding

leaders from Girl Scout Troup # 20404

    for their hugely successful underwear

drive. 445 items were collected to ben-

    efit Northeastern students in need.

    Congratulations to Mrs. Walker's hom-

eroom for collecting over 130 items.

They are the winners of a reward peri-

od of fun and games in the Bobcat

    Den. Way to go BOBCATS!

    Ms. Peters, Orendorf

    Elementary Kindergar-

    ten Class, completed a

    class service project.

    The students collected

    items and made up care

    packages for airmen

    serving in our military.

    These service men

    greatly appreciated the

    care packages and

    mailed the students

    back this picture.

    Shallow Brook is

    #Bobcatproud of

    our December

    Students of the

    Month. These

    Bobcats show em-

    pathy and hard-

    work every single

    day!

  • What are the chances that

    after reading "The Snowy

    Day" to learn about cause

and effect, it became a real

    snowy day at Conewago?

    First graders enjoyed a very

    snowy day!

Please welcome Mila Gabrielle Monelli! She was born on December 31, 2019, weighing in at 8lbs and 21 inches long. Congratulations to the proud parents, Amanda and Al Monelli!

  • Taylor Strickhouser, 7th grade,

    wrote a cookbook called Baking

for Mental Health for her Girl

    Scouts Silver Award Project to

    help inspire anyone struggling

    wi th menta l hea l th i s -

    sues. Baking For Mental

    Health includes inspiration-

al stories and quotes from famous

    bakers and how they over-

    came difficulties in life. Studies

have shown that baking can im-

    prove mental health, whether it's

    reading recipes, kneading dough,

    measuring flour, or smelling the

    relieving scent of baked goods.

    Taylor kindly provided 150 copies

of her cookbook to distribute to

NMS students. Way to go Taylor!

We are so proud of you!

Ms. Fahs’ class at Shallow Brook Intermediate School showed their spirit for

Spirit Day...Decades Day is never outdated in room 310!!
