Please refer to our circular number NBG/SMEBU-POWERJYOTI/24/2010-11 dated09/06/2010 mentioning the launch of collection of contributions of ESIC through currentaccount (Power Jyoti ) opened at New Delhi Main Branch for the branches in NewDelhi, Kolkata and Bangalore circles. It has now b.en decided to extend the facilitiesin all the circles.

4. The mode of acceptance and credit of conventional (manual) challan wouldcontinue as per the existing pro~dure and the credit should be afforded to theRegional Office ESIC account no. 1 and in no case to the five Power Jyotiaccounts. Copies of challan etc. are to be delivered to the respective ESIC officeswhile furnishing the statement of accounts in the usual manner.

6. COLLECTION OF COMPUTERISED ESIC CHALLANAll branches would post computer generated challan of ESIC using screen no.7127 (Instead of 1010) for cashltranefer transactions and the challan numbershould be keyed in registration number field. Further, before u8ing screennumber 7127, an officer having Usef Type-50 must run HOST DATASYNCHRONISATION from branch server.

ESIC maintain their accounts with New Delhi Main Branch (NOMS) for collection ofContributions. The contributions are collected by various branches across the countrythrough challan and remitted to NDMS for credit of ESIC accounts.2. ESIC recently launched "IT Enablement Project" and has decided to make thecollection system online. As a part of this development, ESIC will collect theircontributions through current accounts (Power Jyotl) opened at NOMS for this purpose.Initially this arrangement will be Implemented for collection through branches under NewDelhi. Bengal and Bangalore circles on a pilot basis.2. ESIC has opened five accounts for collection of funds. The funds can be credited toany of the following five accounts by the coll~cting branches.

e) 31177968517The employers would be remitting the funds through either cash or cheques at any ofour Branches in the pilot circles. The remitter would be depositing the funds along with aChallan downloaded from ESIC site with the particulars. These challan will be differentfor cash and cheque deposit (Sample of the challan Is enclosed as Annexure A & B).3. The collecting branches have to capture the Challan No. and Name of the depositorfor MIS purposes and return depositors copy of the challan with the journal number dulyfilled in, signed and stamped.
