Introduction

• The “MARATON” is a modular power supply:

– Input module.– Auxiliary power supplies and signals module.

No P, no control, no monitoring.

– Power modules.

• Same topology as TCC2 tests.• Water cooled

Radiation and electrical tests

• MOSFET Radiation tests:– Use of PFC implies bigger Vds:– Need to change the switching transistors.– Candidates tested in Irrad-1 facility at CERN.– Wiener is implementing the devices.– Tests campaign is foreseen 4 – 5 March 2004.

Conclusion

• Magnetic test was performed in only one direction; additional tests should be done.

• Perform complete tests on the complete system.

• Get a functional system in spring 2004.
