2013: OUR BARRHAVEN REAL ESTATE MARKET RESULTS ARE IN
Wonder what your neighbour’s home sold for?
It’s hard to believe another year is behind us and even
though housing sales were expected to be low and the
Government intended to “cool down” our market, only
a slight decrease occurred compared to 2012. Ottawa
remains stable and in fact this Spring is expected to start
a little early this year with more listings and more people
buying. Sellers will want to get an earlier start to be ahead
of the competition. Buyers will want to take advantage of
the great Mortgage Rates still offered.
Based on MLS data for the year, a total of 1006 homes changed hands in Barrhaven. These include neighbourhoods within Barrhaven: Pheasant Run, Knollsbrook, Cedargrove, Fraserdale, Heritage Park, Barr. On the Green, Longfields, Stonebridge, Strandherd, Barr. East, and Half Moon Bay. Sales included 487 single family homes ranging in price from $250,000 to $1,725,000. Townhomes were a close second with 441 sales. These ranged in a selling price of $236,000 to $529,900. A grand total of 78 Semi Detached homes sold, ranging in selling price from $226,000 to $450,000.
