Trump to suspend H-1B visasUS President Donald Trump is considering suspending a number of employment visas including the H-1B, most sought-after among Indian IT professionals, in view of the massive unemployment in America due to the coronavirus pandemic, according to a media report. A blast in a mosque during Friday prayers in the western part of capital Kabul has killed at least four people and wounded many more, Afghanistan’s interior ministry said. “Explosives placed inside the Sher Shah Suri Mosque exploded during Friday prayers,” said a statement issued by the ministry, which added that the mosque’s prayer leader Mofl eh Frotan was among those killed.

BSF chief to visit along Indo-Pak border Director General of the Border Security Force S S Deswal is on a two-day visit to Gujarat’s Kutch district to review the security scenario along the international border, an offi cial said on Friday. This is Deswal’s fi rst visit to Kutch, which shares a border with Pakistan, after assuming the charge as BSF DG this March, a release here stated. Following his arrival in Bhuj on Thursday, the BSF chief chaired a high-level meeting with senior offi cials, in-cluding BSF inspector general G S Malik, Kutch-West superintendent of police Saurabh Tolumbia and offi cials of Bhuj Army station.

New Delhi, June 12 : The Min-istry of Home Affairs (MHA) on Friday issued new guide-lines which strictly restricted movement of people between 9 pm and 5 am across country, except for essential activities during ‘Unlock 1.0’.In a letter addressed to the Chief Secretaries of states and UTs, Union Home Secre-tary Ajay Bhalla said, “Move-ment of people is strictly prohibited between 9 pm and 5 am across country, except for essential activities during ‘Unlock 1.0’.”The MHA letter further stat-ed that restricting people’s movement from 9 pm to 5 am is aimed at preventing con-gregations, it doesn’t apply to
buses, trucks plying on high-ways.The Home Ministry guide-lines further added that States, UTs are advised not to prevent movement of people

New Delhi, June 12 : As the border row between India and Nepal intensifies, Nepali forc-es fired at Indian farmers on Friday killing one while three others were left injured. The incident took place in Lalban-di near Indo-Nepal border at Sonawarsa in Bihar. One in-jured person has allegedly been taken away by the Nepal police.The IG of Sashastra Seema Bal of Bihar sector has confirmed the development. According to an eyewitness account, the group of Indians were farming in the area when they were fired upon while the Nepali forces claimed they resorted to firing after some Indians were seen trying to cross the border. Nepal’s Armed Police Force (APF) Personnel at Narayan-
pur, Sarlahi border said that clashes erupted after a group of Indian nationals “forceful-ly” tried to enter Nepal via the border point. As per Nepali me-dia reports, the APF personnel fired atleast ten shots in the air to disperse the people. Last month, the Nepali government issued a new controversial map showing Indian territories of Kalapani, Lipulekh and Limpi-yadhura as its own. On Satur-day, the Nepali parliament is set to vote on the amendment of the Nepal map in the coat of arms which is expected to deep-en the row. Sheep Husbandry Depart-ment, Navin K. Choudhary informed that Poultry indus-try represents a major suc-cess story in the country and is one of the fastest growing segments of livestock sector. Last decade has witnessed tremendous growth in the poultry sector in J&K, he add-ed saying that poultry farm-ing has come up in a big way in Jammu, Kathua, Udham-pur, Pulwama, Srinagar and Budgam districts with large number of educated youth taking up poultry farming as a sustainable means of earn-ing livelihood. He said that although J&K has an enor-mous potential and condu-cive environment for poultry
development on commercial lines, still there is signifi-cant gap between demand and supply of poultry prod-ucts. Keeping this in view the Government of J&K has launched J&K Poultry Policy, 2020/Operational guidelines to tap agro-climatic potential of the UT besides creating avenues for self employment and bringing down the yawn-ing gap between demand and supply of poultry products. Srinagar, June 12 : A Lash-ker-e-Toiba (LeT) militant was arrested by security forces early Friday morning in south Kashmir district of Shopian, official sources said. They said on a tip off about the presence of militants, Army, Special Operation Group (SOG) of Jammu and Kashmir police and CRPF launched a joint search op-eration at village Khogpora, Shopian, early this morning. During the operation a LeT militant identified as Zakir Ahmad Khan was arrested, they said adding one 9 mm pistol was recovered from him. Khan had recently joined LeT, they added. Secu-rity forces killed 14 militants
of Hizbul Mujahideen (HM) and LeT in south Kashmir during the past one week.

Srinagar, June 12 : A woman was killed and two other civil-ians were hurt in an intense shelling from across the Line of Control (LoC) in Uri area of north Kashmir’s Baramulla district, officials said. They said that a mortal shell hit the house of Akthar Be-gum, 40, wife of Zahoor Ah-mad at Batha Gram village of Uri, killing her on the spot.The Pakistan forces fired mortars and other weapons in an unprovoked ceasefire violation. The Indian Army is giving a measured response, sources say. This comes on a day when Pakistan initiated unprovoked ceasefire viola-tion in Rampur sector of Bar-
amulla. “On June 12, in the morning hours, Pakistan in-itiated an unprovoked cease-fire violation along the LoC in Rampur sector of district Bar-amulla by firing mortars and other weapons,” the defence spokesperson said. Pakistan has been repeatedly violating ceasefire along the Line of Control in bordering districts of Jammu and Kash-mir over the past few weeks.This was the third violation by Pak troops in the area dur-ing the past about one week. Jammu. Reporting its first COVID-19 death at the twin-border districts of Poonch-Rajouri, the state’s death toll stands at 53. “First COVID-19 death from Rajouri district. A person from Sial Sui tested +Ve at GMC Jammu and admitted there died this morning”, Thakur Sher Singh, Depu-ty Commissioner, Rajouri tweeted.
Reports said, that the 65-year-old Rajouri man died at GMC, Jammu, 10 days after he tested COVID-19 positive. The man was admitted on June 1 with a head injury and was undergo-ing treatment at GMC. On June 2, the man tested COVID-19 pos-itive and was moved to an isola-tion ward.

The vacations in summer zone schools will start from June 15 to July 15 whereas in winter zone from July 6 to July 15.Though the students are al-ready at home due to the clo-sure of schools due to COV-ID-19 breakout, the School Education Department of J&K has issued an order to announce summer vacations for summer and winter zones of the Jammu division. Jammu, June 12 : Only 2,000 pilgrims are likely to be al-lowed per day for Amarnath Yatra during the curtailed season between July 21 and August 3 this year via the shorter Baltal route due to threats posed by coronavi-rus pandemic, said officials of Shri Amarnathji Shrine Board (SASB).They, however, added that the government was yet to give its nod to this proposal for pilgrimage to the 3,880-me-tre high holy cave shrine in south Kashmir.“Works section of Shri Amar-nath Shrine Board awaits a
nod from the government to leave for Baltal to undertake track maintenance that leads to the cave shrine from where this year’s Yatra shall be al-
lowed”, they added.It has also been decided that barring the sadhus, pilgrims above 55 years of age will not be allowed to undertake the
yatra. The yatra, as stated above, will follow the shorter Baltal route and the longer route from Pahalgam will not be used this year for the pil-grimage.“It will be regulated in view of the pandemic and all those undertaking the Yatra must possess Covid-19 negative cer-tificates.
