Vaishno Devi

» Vaishno Devi Temple is one of the most visited and worshipped pilgrimages in India throughout the year.

» The shrine of Vaishno Devi is covered with snow in the winter.

» Situated at a height of 5200 feet above sea level and it is better to avoid visiting this pilgrimage during severe winters as the path becomes very dangerous due to snowfall and sleet.

Bahu Fort

» Bahu Fort is one of the important landmark in Jammu city.

» It is a fort of King of J&K with very old temple inside.

» The fort has a beautiful garden adjacent to it and the location provides a wonderful view of Tawi river and Jammu city.

Bagh-e-Bahu

» The Bagh-E-Bahu garden is located on the bank of Tawi River in the lap of nature, away from the hustle and bustle of Jammu City.

» There are young couples enjoying their relationships, school children playing some games, old people walking in the garden and tourists admiring this beautiful piece of Jammu.

Fish-shaped Aquarium

» The fish-shaped aquarium is the largest underground aquarium in the country and hosts an impressive collection of fish.

» The aquarium is 22m in length and exhibits around 400 species of fish.

» Nathatop  is one of the most popular attraction, it offers a great view of snow coated hills specially during winters.

» Now a days Nathatop is most popular due to paragliding. Hi flying from Nathatop will make you feel like that you are walking on the clouds.

» Tulip festival in India is south Asia's largest Tulip festival that has been named after the Indian prime minister of India, the late Indira Gandhi.

» This blooming festival is a real treat to the eyes as the garden is spread over 5 hectares of land with 60 varieties of multi-coloured tulips.

» Around 2 million tulip bulbs bloom here and proudly display their beauty to the tourists.

» The Nagin Lake is also known as “The Jewel in The Ring” is a must-visit tourist destination!

» The water in Nagin is deeper and less polluted it's also good for swimming and there are fiber glass sailing boats available for hire and water skiing facilities.

Shalimar Bagh

» Shalimar Bagh is a Mughal garden located on the right bank of the Dal Lake in Srinagar.

» This beautiful garden was built by Mughal Emperor Jahangir for his beloved wife Nur Jahan. However, it is famous as the name of Shalimar Bagh 'The Garden of Love'.

» Summers are short, though they are long enough to grow crops. The summer weather is dry and pleasant.

» Temperature ranges are from 3 to 35   °C  in summer and minimums range from -20 to -30 °C in winter.

Nubra Valley

» Nubra Valley is known as the Orchard of Ladakh and was originally called Ldumra which meant the valley of flowers.

» Known for its orchards, scenic vistas, Bactrian camels and monasteries.

» Nubra is still important as it is a major trade centre for woollen textiles made of Pashmina wool and horticultural crops

Zansakar

» Zansakar is also known as ‘The Virgin Vale’, the most isolated of all the trans Himalayan Valleys.

» Steep, high brown peaks with a deep, nearly treeless valley between them and a  limitless blue sky filled with clouds like mountains.

 » A long frozen river in a vertiginous defile.

» Pangong Lake is long, narrow and enchanted lake, it is an endorheic lake in the Himalayas situated at a height of about 4,350m.

» During winter the lake freezes completely, despite being saline water.

» Drass is the 2nd coldest place on earth after Siberia with temperature falling to 590 degrees centigrade during peak winter.

» The town of Drass is located in a relatively flat and open space. In summer this town presents a pleasant look while in winter it discovered under a thick blanket of snow.

Rangdum

» Rangdum is an elliptical expanded plateau surrounded by colourful hills on the one side and glacier encrusted rocky mountains on the other.

» Rangdum is the farthest and the most isolated part of the Suru Valley.
