v1.0.1 The Chinese Pangu team have become the first to release a jailbreaking tool for iOS

8 and iOS 8.1. They only took 33 days from the introduction of jailbreak iOS 8.1.

This jailbreaking tool is in Chinese and right now no English version is available. But

Pangu team has promised to release a English version as soon as possible.

Following iOS 8 and iOS 8.1 devices are supported by Pangu tool.

iPhone 6 Plus, iPhone 6, iPhone 5s, iPhone 5c, iPhone 5, iPhone 4S iPad Air, iPad 4,

iPad 3, iPad 2 iPad mini, Retina iPad mini iPod touch 5G

Important Notes before you proceed to jailbreak your device. Pangu is an

untethered jailbreak tool that supports iOS 8 and iOS 8.1. This is for Windows users

only. Mac version will be released in due course.

If the passcode of your iOS device is enabled, you have to disable it because the

jailbreak might fail. (Go to Settings , select General, if Passcode “On”, turn

Passcode “Off”).

You must have updated “iTunes” to the latest version.

Before proceeding get a backup of your device using “iTunes” or “iCloud”.

Jailbreaking your iOS device might void your warranty.

To jailbreak  iOS 8.1 device  or iOS

8 device, follow the steps given

below.Step 1:

Download the latest version of Pangu 1.0.1 jailbreak for iOS 8 and iOS 8.1 using

above link

Step 2:

Then connect your iOS device to your PC and get a backup of your iOS device

using “iTunes” or “iCloud”. This is because sometimes jailbreak may fail and your

important data might be lost.

Step 3:

If you have upgraded your iOS 8 or iOS 8.1 using OTA method, then jailbreaking of

your iOS device might fail. Therefore, it is better to clean install of iOS 8.1.

Step 4:

You have to turn off “Find My iPhone” feature on your iOS device. (Go to Settings,

select iCloud, then turn off “Find My iPhone”).

Step 5:

You have to launch the application as an Administrator. You should right click on

Pangu exe and select “Run as Administrator” option.

Step 6:

A dialog box will appear in Chinese fonts. Do not worry about the meaning for the

time being. Just uncheck the checkbox on the left side and click on the blue color

jailbreak button. That’s it.

Step 7:

Please be patient, while the jailbreaking process is running. You have to simply

follow the instructions appears time to time, while jailbreaking is in progress.

Step 8:

You will get a message saying that system restore is in progress. Your device may

reboot several times. Be patient, this jailbreak process will take 5 to 10 minutes.

Step 9:

Once the jailbreak process completed, you will find the Pangu app on your iOS

device’s home screen. So you have successfully jailbroken your iOS device.

At the moment you won’t directly get the Cydia onto your iOS device, because it is

not yet combined to the Pangu tool. But thanks to the Saurik, you can install a

working version of Cydia for your iOS device running iOS 8.1.

To install Cydia follow the steps

given below.Step 1

First jailbreak your device running iOS 8 or iOS 8.1.

Step 2

Using Pangu app install OpenSSH on your iOS device.

Step 3:

Then Download CyberDuck SFTP client and install it on your iOS device.

Step 4:

Find your iOS device’s Wi-Fi IP address. (Go to Settings, select “Wi-Fi” and then

select “i”)

Step 5:

Then launch the CyberDuck and when asked provide your IP address of your iOS

device.

Step 6:

Now you can download the Cydia apps by using CyberDuck.

Step 7

Open the CyberDuck and click on Go, select Send Command and paste the

command below and click “Send”.

dpkg –install cydia-lproj_1.1.12_iphoneos-arm.deb cydia_1.1.13_iphoneos-

arm.deb

Step 8

Again click on Go, select Send Command and just type reboot and ckick on “Send

Command”. Your iOS device will reboot once again.

Step 9

After the reboot, the Cydia icon will appear on your home screen. Now you can

download apps as you wish.
