Healing Choice #5 “The Transformation Choice”
I Voluntarily Submit to Every Change God wants to make in my life
and I Humbly ask Him to Remove my Character Defects.
Steps 6 & 7of the Christian “12 Steps”
“We are entirely ready to have Godremove all of our defects of character.”
“We humbly ask Godto remove all of our shortcomings.”
“Hunger”- a craving or urgent need for food or a specific nutrient. - an uneasy sensation or a weakened condition brought about by a lack of food.
- an ardent desire or strong yearning for a specific object
James 4: 7-87 “Submit yourselves, then,
to God. Resist the devil, and he will flee from you.
8Come near to God and he will come near to
you. Wash your hands, you
sinners, and purify your hearts,
you double-minded.”
“Lord,Make me pure and
holy,but not yet.”
- Saint Augustine
As we dig alongside God and look at our
behaviors:- Some can Stay- Some need Altered- Some need Removed Completely
Very often, the root of our sinful habits
and hurts are deeper
character defects and
unmet needs.
When we address the
deeper issues,our more
superficial habits and defects
go awaymuch easier.
Remember:
We Can Trust That God Won’t Ask To Remove
Anything That We Need!
V - Voluntarily Submit to Changes

C - Change Our Thinking Patterns
T - Turn Our Defects Over To God

Y - Yield Your Cooperation
Philippians 1:6 (The Message)
“There has never been the slightest doubt in my mind
that the God who started this great work in you
would keep at it and bring it to a flourishing finish on the
very day Christ Jesus appears.”
