RULES AND REGULATIONS

• Participants must be at least 21 and must have proper identification available at check in

• You must be entered in the Chili Quest Cook Off in order to participate in this event

• ALL RULES THAT APPLY TO THE COOK-OFF APPLY TO THE DRINK MAKING CONTEST

• Teams are REQUIRED to use Milagro Tequila, Milagro Agave Nector and Fresh Lime Juice as their base. Any other ingredients may be added after that. 2 Shots of Milagro Tequila and the Milagro Agave Nector will be provided to the teams at the event.

• Teams will receive a 3 foot space to prepare and present their margrita • A ticket will be assigned to each space for judging purposes • Check In and Set up is at 2:30 Saturday January 19, 2013. • Contestants are allowed 2 ½ minutes of preparation time • Contestants are allowed 5 minutes to complete the drink • Only 2 members of the team are allowed on stage • All recipes must be original • Beverage entries may not be pre-mixed. All ingredients will be inspected by the

committee prior to competition • Costumes and themes are encouraged but not required • Fire is absolutely not allowed as a special effect during performance • Any type of glassware is allowed for final presentation, but no logos or

distinguishable markings are permitted. • Judging begins promptly at 3:00. No entries will be accepted once the contest

begins • Garbage receptacles will be provided and it is the participant’s responsibility to

clean and dispose of their area after judging has ended. • 3rd place and runner up will receive a trophy. First place will win a place on

Flavor- 60% Strength of margarita (relating to alcoholic content) not too strong not too weak Level of acidity Smoothness factor Showmanship/Technique 10% Bartending skills and flare displayed while mixing beverage Individual theme or costume relating to overall event theme Final presentation 30% Appearance of drink Appropriate glassware for drink prepared Refreshing look
