Founded in December 2012 with the purpose of helping and guiding youth in Uganda to be useful citizens and to helping themselves out of poverty.
THE MISSIONIs a centre for all youth who are looking to be successfully employed, either as employee or in their own business. This is a huge task here in Uganda where a large number are graduating from University each year with no hope of employment.

BACKGROUND TO THE ‘PROBLEM’Technology has allowed the young people to see how fast the rest of the world is advancing. Yet many children are unable to attend school through lack of school fees. So vast numbers stay back in the villages and help in the work of their homes. The numbers are increasing and many more young people now attend school through to Senior School and University. Some have parents who are able to pay school fees, others through scholarships, donations and charities. However this only increases the ‘problem’ and the number of unemployed youth grows every year. Therefore the Jabez Foundation seeks to address this problem by giving able and interested youth a chance to participate in job creation and invention.

SUCCESSES IN 2013 THE GRAND LAUNCHOn Saturday 2nd February we celebrated the official opening. We invited three guests of honour to officiate, Bishop Edward and Vasta Muhima and Mr Stephen Assimwe, Senior Pastor at Covenant Nations Church. The event was attended by over fifty people. Especially welcome was a team from Texas, USA.
TRAININGThroughout the year training seminars have taken place covering a wide variety of subjects. Invited speakers have encouraged and guided our clients in the right direction.Subjects for the seminars have covered, agriculture, animal husbandry including pig, poultry and goat keeping, training in writing business proposals, and basic accounting.

REGISTRATIONThe registration of an organisation can be a lengthy process, we started in December 2012 and in April 2013 we were finally registered as a Non-Profit Organisation.

HINDRANCES There are a few, of course in any organisation, but we are working to overcome and put them behind us.
FUTURE PROSPECTSWe are looking towards finding the right location for The Jabez Foundation premises where God’s Vision will come to life. Where we will see young people become self sustained.
INVITATION TO PARTNER WITH USGod has given us the responsibility of a huge vision. We rely on God for many things but we also need the help of our brothers and sisters. We have stepped out in faith and believe very soon the finances will come forward and the facility will be built.
