Making an Internal Call
EnterthenameofthecolleagueyouwishtocallintheSearchorCallbar.Jabberwillsearchthecompanydirectorytofindthepersonyouwishyoucall.Themoreofthenameyoutype,themorerefinedthesearchresultswillbecome.

nameandusethebuttonsthatappeartoChat orCall thecontact.
Foradditionalinteractionoptions,right-clickthecontactandmakeaselectionfromthemenu.IfthecontactisinDoNotDisturborAway ,youalsohavetheoptiontohaveJabberalertyouwhentheybecomeavailablebyclickingAlertwhenavailable .
Contactswithalertswillbeshownwitharedalertsymbol.
Whenthecontactbecomesavailable,youwillreceiveanalertonyourcomputer.Thealertwillmaintainonyourscreenuntilyouclickit.Whenclicked,aChatwindowwiththecontactwillopen,oryoumaychoosetoignorethealertbyclickingtheXinthetoprightcornerofthealert.

Managing Calls
Whenyoureceiveacallfromoneofyourcolleagues,youwillseeapop-upwindowonyourcomputerindicatingyouroptions.YoucanChatreply,whichwillstartaChatwiththecaller,Answerthecall,orDeclinethecall,whichwillsendthecallertoyourvoicemail.
Whenyoureceiveacallfromanoutsidecaller,youwillhaveonlytheoptiontoAnswerorDeclinethecall.
CallerIDinformationwillbedisplayedinthecallalertwindowforbothinternalandexternalcallers.
Whenyouareonanactivecall,youwillnoticeseveraloptionsatthetoprightoftheActiveCallwindow.

Adding Video to an Active Call
Jabberwillautomaticallydetectanycamera,eitherbuilt-inorpluggedintoyourcomputer,foryoutouseinaddingvideotoyourpoint-to-pointaudiocalls.Youmaychooseifyouwishvideotostartautomaticallywitheverycall,orifyouwishtomanuallyaddvideoonacall-by-callbasis.
TosetyourVideopreferences,clicktheMenu buttoninyourJabberclient,thenselectFile>Options .
NavigatetotheCallstabintheresultingwindow.
Selecthowyouwouldlikevideotorespond.IfyouselecttoNeverstartcallswithvideo ,youwillbepresentedwithagreenbuttononthetopof
youractivecallwindowthatallowsyoutoStartMyVideo onacall-by-callbasis.Topauseyourvideoduringacall,pressthegreyStopmyvideo
buttonnowatthetopofyourcallwindow.
