• Jabber 10.6 provides the administrator flexibility when defining user JID

• JID can be based on CUCM DirectoryURI which is synced from LDAP

• JID structure becomes independent of UserID (UID) for authentication

• User can assign a Location

name, address for each

network location* detected by

Jabber to show contacts where

they are working.

• Feature can be disabled by

both admin and user. User can

choose which locations to

publish

• Most recent active client will be

Save my Chat to Outlook / File

• Jabber for Windows now

provides the option to save

Chat / IM conversations to

Microsoft Outlook.

• Feature can be enabled/disable

by Jabber administrator as

required (disabled by default)

• Alternatively Jabber can save

chats to a local folder on local

drive for used by Windows

search function


• Primarily designed for defence and intelligence community

• Enforces labelling of messages with admin defined security labels (e.g. NATO classifications)

• Some 3rd party compliance servers can enforce security clearance policy for chat receipt

• Disabled by default but Admin can enabled for chat, group chat and chat rooms
