Research into genres related to my script:

Genre: Dance.

Footloose 2011 – Directed by Craig Brewer.

This use of a low angle close up shot of the feet in the opening scene of footloose show’s power from the footwork of the dance and really makes it stand out to the audience, therefore I’m going to include the same sort of Camera angle shots of feet in my short film.

Furthermore in the Final Dance Scene they use High-key lighting, this could create the emotion of excitement and raise the audience heart beat as it is abnormal to the rest of the film which is usually low-key lighting, adding to the element of dance being something special, powerful and almost like a dream. Consequently I’m going to use the same sort of lighting technique in my short film, by having high-key lighting for dance scenes only and low-key for the rest.
