Session Titles and Summaries: Session One: Our Families Students discover how families are alike and different and how families can work together to make where they live a better place. Session Two: Our Families’ Needs and Wants Students become aware that all families need food, clothing, and shelter to live. Students begin to understand the distinction between needs and wants. Session Three: Great Job! Students examine the jobs family members have, including operating their own businesses, to earn money to provide for their needs and wants. Session Four: Businesses in Our Neighborhood Students use the Floor Map to locate businesses throughout a neighborhood. They identify locations for new entrepreneurial businesses, along with the goods or services these businesses will provide. Session Five: Our New Business Students become entrepreneurs and start a business that fills a want in their neighborhood.
