Spot admissions for M.Tech/ M.Pharm courses in constituent colleges of JNTUA

INFORMATION TO CANDIDATES

Note: 1. Only candidates who have not taken admission in any colleges in PGECET-2016allotments are allowed for spot admissions

2. Candidates who have already admitted under sponsored category of JNTUA need not apply but can participate in spot counseling directly by registering at the office of Director of Admissions.

a) The Courses offered, Number of seats, Tuition fee and other details are given in appendixNote:- The University reserves the right to cancel the admissions in courses which cannot be started for want of minimum number of seats filled.

b) Eligibility: (i) The candidates should have academic qualifications as prescribed by the PGECET-2016 of the APSCHE, Hyderabad, for JNTUA courses.

c) Seat allotment: The order of Priority for selection shall be (i) Valid GATE/GPAT Score (ii) Rank in PGECET–2016(iii) Marks obtained in the qualifying examination: a) With a minimum of 45% for ST and SC candidates and 50% for others for M.Tech courses b) With a minimum of 50% for ST and SC candidates and 55% for others for M.Pharm courses

The rule of reservation will be followed as per the University rules for admission

d) The University reserves the right to make alterations in the intake or rules for admission.e) No Hostel facility will be provided for the admitted candidates under sponsored category.f) The University does not offer any scholarships/stipends or any concessions for the

candidates admitted under spot admissions.g) Once admitted into a course by paying the tuition fee and other fees requests for

cancellation of seat will not be entertained h) The Admitted candidates should pay one semester tution fee and attend to class work

immediatelyi) If any dispute concerning admissions in the courses of JNTUA arises, the jurisdiction shall

remain with the High Court of Andhra Pradesh.j) Selected candidates need to pay 1st Semester tuition fee on the same day before 4 p.m.

HOW TO APPLY

1. Read the “Information to candidates” and the appended details 2. Check the courses to which you are eligible3. Down load the application form and fill in the details as required in legible form and

submit along with enclousers at 9.00 AM on the day of Spot Admissions.4. Obtain Demand Draft(s) for Rs 1000/- in favour of the Registrar, JNTU Anantapur,

payable at Ananthapuramu as registration fee. Registration fee will not be refunded under any circumstances.

5. Fill in the details of the registration fee payment (DD) in the space provided.6. Attach all the relevant certificates copies ( Not Originals) including the following i) Bank Demand Draft for Rs.1000/-

ii) Attested copy of degree, date of birth, service and salary certificates;iii) Attested copy of

1). Valid GATE/GPAT Score card 2). PGECET-2016 Hall Ticket and Rank Card 3). Qualifying examination consolidated marks memo. showing the

percentage of marks obtained

COUNSELLING: a) Spot Admissions will be conducted on 30-08-2016 at 10 AMFurther instructions regarding counselling or any other clarifications will be displayed on the www.jntua.ac.in only. The candidates will not be intimated individually or separately. They are advised to see the website frequently.

b) Since there are number of courses the counseling will be conducted as per convenience one by one and it may take a long time for completion.

c) Admission through Spot counseling will not entitle any scholarships or fee reimbursement.

VERFICATION OF ORIGINAL CERTIFICATES:On the day of Spot Admissions candidates have to bring the following ORIGINAL certificates and will be verified before counseling.

1. Degree certificate/ provisional certificate of qualifying examination2. CMM/ all Marks Memos pertaining to the qualifying examination3. Valid original GATE/GPAT score card4. PGECET-2016 Rank card5. SSC Certificate6. Transfer Certificate from the Institution in which the candidate has last studied7. Migration Certificate from the University in which the candidate has last studied if from

other Universities8. Integrated Permanent Community Certificate in case of SC/ST/BC in the prescribed

proforma.9. NOC cum Sponsorship certificate from the present employer in the prescribed proforma 10. Service and Salary certificates
