1 JANUARY 3 - 10 The Announcements Page Keep on Keeping on … Everyone is tired of the pandemic and ready to be done with it! The fabulous news is that people are beginning to receive the vaccine. It will take months, though, for us to reach “herd immunity.” So, we need to keep on keeping on! These next months, please wear a face covering when you are in public, wash your hands often, keep at least 6 feet from others, and stay home when you are ill or when you’ve been near someone who is ill. Our brother in Christ, Martin Luther, shared advice on how Christians could faithfully live and care for God’s people during a pandemic. Here’s just an excerpt from what he wrote in, “Whether One May Flee From A Deadly Plague” “I shall ask God mercifully to protect us. Then I shall fumigate, help purify the air, administer medicine and take it. I shall avoid places and persons where my presence is not needed in order not to become contaminated and thus perchance inflict and pollute others and so cause their death as a result of my negligence.” Keep on keeping on for the sake of your family, friends, neighbors, community, and God’s people near and far! Sunday Worship & Coffee Fellowship Please come to our Facebook watch party on Sundays at 9:30 am. It’s just like watching it live. You can offer a wave and a “Good morning” to your TLC friends and family. You can also share prayer requests and add hearts, smiley faces and thumbs up to interact with others worshiping with you. Then, at 10:30 am, click on the Zoom link for coffee (milk or juice are fine too!) and conversa- tion. You can even join us in your PJs! If you can’t join us for worship at 9:30 am you can watch when it is convenient for you on Facebook, YouTube, or SPAA channel 7. DVD copies will contin- ue to be delivered as usual. Re-visioning the Role of the Christian Community in Today’s Society In a series of lectures over 4 weekly Zoom meetings in January and February, the 2021 Simpson Forum will welcome 5 scholars from a variety of church and educational backgrounds to speak to the ever-changing role of the Church in our world. The Announcements Page

    Keep on Keeping on …

Everyone is tired of the pandemic and ready to be done with it!

Here’s just an excerpt from what he wrote in, “Whether One May Flee From A Deadly Plague”

“I shall ask God mercifully to protect us. Then I shall fumigate, help purify the air, administer medicine and take it. I shall avoid places and persons where my presence is not needed in order not to become contaminated and thus perchance inflict and pollute others and so cause their death as a result of my negligence.”

Keep on keeping on for the sake of your family, friends, neighbors, community, and God’s people near and far!

    Sunday Worship & Coffee Fellowship

Please come to our Facebook watch party on Sundays at 9:30 am. It’s just like watching it live. You can offer a wave and a “Good morning” to your TLC friends and family. From the Green Team

Always a good reminder - Trinity is a part of a much larger group - the ELCA, or Evangeli-cal Lutheran Church of America - and we can celebrate it’s advocacy for the earth. Repre-senting us along with fellow congregations, the ELCA is collaborating with ecoAmerica’s Blessed Tomorrow program. It is a program by people of faith, for people of faith, offering ideas, tools and language effective in addressing climate change. Beginning in May of this year, ecoAmerica began the webcast, Let’s Talk Climate, with weekly sessions on topics of health, faith, nature/science, and others. This is another good piece to put in our “toolbox” of environmental awareness - especially remembering that 2020 is the 50th anni-versary year of Earth Day. At the time of Earth Day 2018, Bishop Eaton said in part: "The present moment is a critical and urgent one, filled with both challenge and opportuni-ty to act as individuals, citizens, leaders and communities of faith in solidarity with God's good creation and in hope for our shared future."
