Earlier, he was a Senior Lecturer in Parle/Sathaye College, Bombay University, for 20 years. Prof. Kumar has a doctorate in Mass Communication from the University of Leicester (U.K.). He has participated in four international research projects and published widely in academic journals and also in a number of edited books on the discipline of Communication.
