� Providing Industrial exposure/training in the faculty/staff members of the Department � Encouraging the students to do mini projects connected to society needs � Organizing “Job Oriented” courses for better employment. � Training the students to meet technical developments based on the ideals collected

from the industrialists as well as alumni of the Department.

Strength: • Up-to-date facilities and infrastructure like laboratories, teaching aids, networked

computers • Dedicated, young and dynamic faculty with wide range of specializations. • Department has PG program and is in process of establishment of Research

Laboratory. • Good student-Teacher ratio. • Well-equipped laboratories with best configuration of hardware equipments. • Regular Up gradation of syllabus which prepares students for various examinations.

Weaknesses:

• Department has to seek industrial tie ups for hands on experience of real world

environment to students.

• Department needs more attention from industry.

Opportunities:- • Lot of scope to have industry sponsored projects. • Strategic alliances with national institutions. • Strategic alliances and partnerships with international institutions for offering more

professional courses. • Diversification of sources of revenue through better exploitation of consultancy and

e-learning facilities

Challenges:- • As the technology has been developing rapidly, there is need to update the skill set

and knowledge of the faculty Identification and development of state of art research facilitates.

• Keeping the department in sync with the fast changing environment of Information Technology

• To Establish state-of-the-art Research systems lab

• To provide international quality education for UG & PG programs.

• To have interaction with industrial & government agencies, professional societies, local

communities and incorporate their requirements in our syllabus

• To provide consultancy services wherever possible

• To incorporate technical changes in laboratories.
