DESCRIPTIONThis program principally aims at professional vocation with opportunities in the employment of collaborators in International Activities.

The Vocational Bachelor prepares the student for all company functions, including accounting (notably English), and international tax law. It mainly concerns the interface that allows small and medium sized companies to enter European markets.

It also concerns the organization needed for collaboration with similar structures of the European region. The LP CAI degree can also be done overseas in a partner university of IUT.

EVALUATIONS & EXAMINATIONSContinuous evaluations and semester exams. The Vocational Bachelor is awarded to students who have simultaneously an average equal or above 10/20 collectively in all academic units, including the guided project and internship.

The program aims at providing the technical knowledge necessary for working. It also develops in the candidate’s commercial aptitude and even insures them a quick job placement in a credit establishment or an insurance agency.

DESCRIPTIONThe objective of this Vocational Bachelor is to provide the technical and organizational skills necessary to conduct security inspections and audits and establish the securitization of a company’s informatics systems.

DESCRIPTIONThe objective of this Vocational Bachelor “Energy and Climatic Engineering” (Sustainable Development specialty), focus on Industrial Energy Management is to train immediately operating middle managers. These managers will be competent of providing a diagnosis and remedy any defect in the management of energy and material flows. They will be able to manage, lead and maintain multi‐technical installations while also being able to integrate it into a system of sustainable development as well as a system of renewable energy from the point of conception.

DESCRIPTIONTherefore the scientific and technical knowledge gained by a first cycle diploma, this program allows the student:

• To develop the essence of maintenance in mastering methods and organization,

• To insure a methodology that allows the quick integration of the concepts of reliability, maintainability, availability, and security,

• To deepen the knowledge in the area of Industrial Engineering,

• To train maintenance specialists capable of taking into account a company’s human and economic aspects and to integrate the ideas connected to sustainable development, and open to Europe by way of regulation and institution knowledge.

Professional trainingFor full‐time students, the internship ‐16‐week minimum – takes place at the end of the year. A report and oral defense at the end of the internship is required. As continuing education, job holders will have to write a report of their professional activities as well as give an oral defense. In the program done as an apprenticeship, the program of study is in alternation with an average of 3 weeks per month in a company.

Management of industrial production


The objective of a professional contract is to promote theprofessional placement or re‐placement. It permits asalaried worker newly hire with a temporary or permanentcontract to do a program in alternation, recognized by aprofessional qualification. All IUT diplomas (UniversityTechnology diploma and Vocational Bachelor) can be doneas a professional contract.

QUALIFIED CANDIDATESYouths between ages of 16 and 25 years old (until but notincluding the 25th birthday) wishing to complete their firstdegree, job seekers older than 26 and who are enrolled atthe A.N.P.E (National Employment Agency), recipients ofASS (Allocation de Solidarité Spécifique), AAH (Allocationaux Adultes Handicapés), of RSA (Revenu de SolidaritéActive), CUI (Contrat Unique d’Insertion).

QUALIFICATIONS TARGETEDA professionally oriented degree delivered by the State orother authorities or organizations, and registered in theNational Directory of Professional Certifications (RNCP).Certificate of National Qualifications (CQP). Qualificationrecognized by the classification of a collective nationalagreement of a certain economic sector. Characteristics of the Apprenticeship ContractThe apprenticeship contract is a particular type of work contract with adetermined duration (CDD).Following article L6211‐2 of the work code, “apprenticeship is the objectof a contract agreed upon by an apprentice and an employer.It is associated to training in one or more companies, based on theexercise of one or more professional activities in direct relation with theobjective qualification of the contract and … the teachings distributedduring the time of work in a training center for apprentices.”

The contract is initially agreed upon for the duration of the program (2years for a University Technology diploma and 1 year for a VocationalBachelor). It starts with a two‐month trial period. If the apprentice doesnot graduate, the contract can be prolonged for 1 year.

Apprentice Work RequirementsThe apprentice has a salary separate from the company.With this position, the laws, regulations and collective conventions ofthe professional institution or of the company are the same as those ofother salaried workers.The employer is to let the apprentice take classes during work hours.

Aid for EmployersEmployers benefit from a variety of financial advantages: exemptionfrom social fees, compensation and a tax credit.

Note: apprentices, even if they are salaried by the company, are notcounted as part of the company for the application of services referringto a minimum condition of employees.

Apprentice CompensationWhen an apprentice agrees on a new contract with an employer, their compensation is at least equal to that of the last year of the preceding contract.

For an apprentice in a Vocational Bachelor, the compensation is at least equal to the contract in the second year.

Courses for the Vocational Bachelor in International Trade are given at the same time in French and English so as to allow foreign students to integrate into the program.

For foreign students, 60 ECTS credits can be approved within the framework of the CAI degree/ international class (course in English); among the following classes:

Vocational Bachelor in International Trade (CAI), DEMI*, DICC**International course of study oriented towards commerce and management (tertiary)

Students in the CAI program have a choice between two types of study abroad programs.

• Students can benefit from complementary services (personal guidance, distance courses) and enroll in the European International Management degree program or the International Diploma in Communication and Commerce in addition to the CAI degree program. The path chosen develops through one complete year abroad (classes and internship). The course load is calculated into European Credits ECTS, allowing for the academic recognition of courses given in partner universities.

Agreements signed with certain institutions allows for the receipt of a foreign degree in addition to the DEMI/DICC and the CAI Vocational Bachelor.
